yuzu is right and far-sighted to insist on focusing on his jumps - we'll see an intense competition from the men in PyeongChang.

Yeah, but i was thinking like, they said "we already dressed him with a white and yellow curtain. What else can we do?! I know, a silly dance!" And then he went all "Oh yes, i will dance!" and he looks really dorky, so the plan backfired and we still have cute Hanyu :laugh:
I dare them to make him look bad.
 
Guys, do you think Yuzuru will take part in the 2018 Worlds in Italy? ... I'm already wondering whether to go or not...
 
Article from IFS magazine about the rise of the Japanese powerhouse. If anyone is interested about the chronological events leading to Japan's rise in the international stage in FS, it is a pretty nice one to read. Mentions of Yuzuru quite a lot here too. There is a bit of incorrect factual bits though but that's ok. Overall I agree with the main point of the article, depth of field is necessary for the development of sport in the country.

I'm thinking of buying the premium tickets first, and if he doesn't go, I'll sell them. Its quite a travel for me but there's a chance that could be his last competition ever so I don't want to risk it. I would have gone to Helsinki since the tickets were so affordable but I was still recovering (financially and emotionally) from Boston lol...

You should go to Helsinki. He will do well there. Believe me. Finland is a good place for him.

Its too late :laugh: I have no more vacation days :shame: I'm going to US Nat's only because there was a front row ticket on sale for the ladies that I bought on impulse and its during the weekend. I can't even make it to the men's FS since I need to be back by Sunday.

I hope he goes to SA though. I can just drive up there :yahoo:

That's a good idea. I'm from Europe so I thought I should go to Worlds as long as it's close and affordable (I'd never be able to afford Asia or America) but I don't know how my interest would hold up if Yuzuru wasn't there. I'd want premium tickets for Yuzuru too... :scratch: If he doesn't win the Olympics (knocks on wood) he'd probably want to prove himself at Worlds... if he does win (hopefully!) he might not care... or he might still want to go because he lost two World titles already and he might want to make for it... I need to dust off that crystal ball...

Will you go to Helsinki this time?
Frankly I think he will go to WC 2019. It's in Japan. It would be better for Japanese skater to retire on home ice. That's only my guess of course.
Maybe you should buy WC 2018 tickets beforehand and sell if if he won't go.

I'm based in the States, but my family is in Asia.... I almost could have gone to Asia around 4CC time this year :gaah: but work really complicates things. Oh had I known I'd watch Requiem from Worlds and fall head over heels for that skating, I'd have fought much harder for it. I wonder if he'd go to Worlds next year if he *fingers crossed* gets it this year. And then I'm also hoping he'd stay another season or two after Olympics to play with 4A.... :scratch2: .............. 2019 Worlds is in Saitama? Home crowd retirement? :confused2:

Lol kudos to anyone not located in Japan/Asia trying to fight for good tickets, even for worlds. And imagine if Yuzu announces that its his last comp... :drama: I think its better to keep your sanity and go for Milan :laugh:
