2017 U.S. Nationals Championship Ladies SP

I missed the first group and looked up the result..and wow. :eekn:

Tessa Hong, who has competed as a junior until now is leading at the moment. Great to know that Caroline Zhang is second behind Tessa.

This next group in all likelihood holds a Medal contender. Mariah, Courtney, Angela, Amber, and Karen are all capable of great things....Here we go.....

For such a big girl (which I mean in terms of height and musculature), Angela's jumps are pretty small. They don't seem small because she's tall, but the height she gets isn't good.

Angela is a lovely skater but she's lacking that oopmh that she needs to be successful. I'm not sure if it's charisma or something else but she needs to find out what makes her unique and embrace it more.

Angela Wang: Sad fall on the 3F on a bad slip. Fit in the 3Lo+2T combination. Had to remove the Rippon feature of the 3Lo as a consequence. Nice centered spins and patient footwork sequence. Choreography has a great sensibility to the musical phrasing. Strong flow throughout the program, but not as great as her prior performance in her qualifier.

Ryan Bradley coaches her or is he the choreographer?

LOL...I was wondering, "Is that Ryan Bradley with Angela Wang?" Yes, it is. Nice to see him so involved with the sport still.
