I was also thinking of asking him if he thinks that the skating jumps will evolve in more difficulty? Like a quintuple or maybe in things like backflips, like Surya Bonaly tried to do once. And whether if he would prefer more difficult jumps or that figure skating stays more or less within the limits that it has now.
[I'm sorry if I'm making any mistakes in spelling, as I said, I'm quite amateur on this world, plus I'm spanish]

Mmmmh I would take out the backflip from your question since it's a forbidden move (and for good reason, it's really very very dangerous) so it's not a pertinent point.

Okay, no backflip then. It seemed dangerous and so difficult, that why I was shocked to see someone doing it! I'm writing your boots question down, seems like an original one; thanks!

You're welcome ! :D
There's a long and very particular story behind Surya's backflip actually. It was a defiant move toward judges who were extremely biased against her. But that's not the reason they banned it, it IS a very dangerous move X_x especially made on figure skating skates instead of hockey skates.

Hello, everyone!

So, if anyone has any questions that really want to ask him or original/different questions, could you send them to me? I have tomorrow friday and all the weekend to prepare, so if anybody wants to guide me a little in the technical stuff, I would also appreciate it. The interview will be in Spanish, but I can translate all your questions :)

Not sure if this question would seem appropriate, but I am curious as to whether they are already thinking about music for next year's programs and what type of program he would like to do. (I know it's early, but it's so important since it's the Olympic year.) Along the same line, has he thought about which choreographers he would like to use?

Ooh I'm interested in what they think about the music too. Of course if it's a secret and all, it's totally fine :agree:

Yes, I think a lot of them don't like to "tip their hand", so to speak. Although I thought I saw a clip somewhere the other day and the caption said that Javi was working on his new program. Seems a little early, but I suppose anything is possible since next season is a super important one.

How cool is that, melmel!? Good luck with the interview!

It is actually quite hard to come up with questions that have not been asked and answered before...

The technical side gets talked about a lot all the time, so maybe something about what he thinks of himself as a performer?

Do they develop that side somehow? Dance classes? Something else?

Are there moments in that respect that are significant to him?

How do the routines get created and what is his involvement in it? How much do the routines change during the practice process?

And thinking of his future plans... Now that he has been involved in teaching and guiding others during various camps, seminars etc, how does he feel about teaching?

Would he consider getting eg a degree in coaching now that he is with UCAM?

I still want to know who looks after Effie when he is away for long periods of time....like during long summer tour season.

What off ice training does he do? Running, swimming, bike etc..

I just saw an interview where Yuzuru commented pretty in depth on Patrick/Shoma/Javi/Boyang's styles. And it felt like a good foray into his mind.

Might be a good (but too long) question for Javi - sort of his perspective on the field, especially his top rivals for podium today.

------

Also. FINALLY CLEAN for SP :D cat reflexes save another day.
And kills that "old guard demise" talk. grr.

Highly doubtful. Like, very very highly doubtful. Just 3 days ago, Miki posted a picture of Effie to cheer for him at Euros. They still seem perfectly happy together. If it's because of his ring, he's been using it for years.

But I'm here to say "CONGRATS JAVI ON THAT CLEAN SP" :yahoo: he's finally done it, I'm so glad he got a clean SP out.
Now I hope he can keep this up tomorrow, Vamos Javi! :hap57:

Finally saw Javi's SP.

*YYYYYEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!! I was smiling the whole time.

*I have missed the beard, not gonna lie. And I liked the curly hair, too. :agree:

*Not as much fire in the performance compared to last season. But this was the best SP Javi's done this year. And coming off GPF, I will take it!! :yes2:

*Javi landing jumps like a cat. Respect.

*Brain Orser's reactions are the best.

*And how awesome was the crowd!?!? Clapping multiple times to the music, cheering the jumps, spins, footwork sequence... It made me happy. :hap10:

Come on bring it home Javier V of Europe (to quote Shoma One)!!!

WOW, that was a great sp!!! Our commentators were really enthusiastic about the strength in interpretation without too much "fuss". I would say it was strong male elegance with feeling. And I have to add that against my usual opinion about beards, I really liked this one... Javi looked tired, hopefully he will sleep well before the freeskate.

I think he posted sth in his IG about making the SP for next year. It's an interesting question though, because of the Olympics, so added! Thank you both!

Thanks so much, Eppen! :D

I know it's hard to come up with an original interview all by myself, that's why I come here to ask for help also... I think that it's important to know what the fans would like to know.

Thanks a lot for your questions, I wrote all of them down and I will try to mix some of them. I especially like the first one (that I could combine with how they develop that side) and the one about his involvement in the routines. I would also like to ask about his future... Hum... I wish I could stretch those ten minutes to an hour and ask him everything I want to ask!

Mizar - sorry for the name mixup, I wrote during ladies practice session ;-) i'verran been interviewed sometimes for my work and at least I appreciate the journalists who have done their homework and know what they are talking about... And you are certainly working hard on this!

And the SP! I prayed for all possible divinites that it would go right this time and it seems my request was heard. It was a huge privilege to get to witness it!! <3
