^^^ by the way who is the rival?

That's Moris, Moris Kvitelashvili, he ended up 6th in the men's event. Also one of Eteri's students from Sambo70. He's actually quite good. As a skater I mean. but ahem, personally, in both departments, Zhenya chose the better one ;)

ETA and this of all things, is my 2500th post. I am not even surprised.

Moris Kvitelashvili. I think he represents Georgia now, but he trains with Eteri. But basically he posted three ig's straight with Zhenya beside XD XD XD
I remember being surprised by the 3-quad LP at Euros, but I don't remember if it was all cleanly landed... :o I guess I don't remember anything much apart from Deniss.

Aah Yatagarasu beat me to it but yes. Good choice, Janny. Good choice.

Happy to hear your thoughts.

Preface: I’ve known Figure Skating (because of Yuzuru) only for 10 months. I am very interested in knowing and love everything about Yuzu, EXCEPT those technical aspects, I am still IGNORANT. :con3::hopelessness: So please only regard it as “fun reading”.

I came up with those thoughts only after reading that issue from the posts of Yuzu’s fans.

“frustrated”: no, I’ve never felt that with Yuzu.

“doing yourselves no favors by being so adamant about it”: hahaha, I didn’t know I gave you that feeling, I didn’t mean it. I only want the best for Yuzu.

My belief is that:
the ultimate goal of any programs must be to help the owner (Yuzu):
deliver/achieve full potential + maximize the chances of winning with the lowest risks and the least physical and mental effort and burden :)

To conclude, I am not the one to skate, it is Yuzu. He himself of course uses the layout he feels the best and most powerful. If he has to skate to the layout that he doesn’t like, it also affects the ultimate result. Yuzu is a super human being.:luv17: What he has achieved (just turned 22) is very rare in our world. It is understandable that his mindset, maybe very often, difficult to understand.

Yuzuru, please stay healthy and happy, have joyful and successful competitions.:hap10:

I get that it makes the chances to be clean higher, but I don't see the rest tbh.

And while I get why people are frustrated with the quad combo there, I think you're doing yourselves no favors by being so adamant about it. You'll just end up being more frustrated when he doesn't change it, which very likely might happen ^^"

Too bad 4CC is not back-to-back skate. It will be an even better "test event" for Olympics. Well, at least the free skate will be in the morning. :slink:

Hi, happy to hear your thoughts.

But is that combo the only best way to convey that meaning? What about other ways? :scratch2:
To me, even Yuzu just stands there can convey that meaning ... :luv17: just kidding :dance2:

Is it not achieving the goal of a program/ layout, that is:
to help the owner (Yuzu):
deliver/achieve full potential + maximize the chances of winning with the lowest risks and the least physical and mental effort and burden :)

If we judge the 4S combo in LP with Shae-Lynn's interview, it seem the combo was added to potry the strugle of figure skating to reach the top 'no pain, no gain' thingie

:) I think there's quite a number of Yuzuru- Federer fans (am one of them actually). Over at FSUniverse, a poster actually described Yuzuru as the Roger Federer of figure skating, and I can see why: both are supremely elegant, combine power with finesse, and at their best elevate their sport into art. Most important, they are classy in the way they conduct themselves. Proud to be a fan of both.

Yes  I'm hoping the good luck spreads to all my other favorite people :luv17:

I still don't know why he chose to do that layout, it is very risky but it is his choice. I do wish I can hear his reasoning about insisting on doing that in the second half and risk the REP if he misses it. He is actually a reasonable person, I am sure there is a meaning behind doing that (I don't think it's just him being stubborn); I initially was against him doing 4Lo in the SP because it is very risky and unnecessary + he already received 106-110+ with his 4S 4T3T 3A SP and he nailed this layout 100% (3 out of 3) on international events. But after hearing his thoughts and motive of doing it via Brian's interview, I agree with his choice.

Moreover, he could still manage to do 4S combo in the second half without risking REP deduction if he scrambles his layout a bit. He is doing 4Lo 4S 3F / 4S3T 4T 3A2T 3Alo3S 3Lz now. But if he wants some sort of "insurance" plan for his layout, he can do 4Lo 4T 3F / 4S3T 4S 3A2T 3Alo3S 3Lz. If he nails his combo all is well; if he fails, he still has a second chance to attach it to the second 4S. He seems to be able to do 4S as a last jump so I don't think doing 2 4S in the 2nd half is a problem for him.

got Visa to S.Korea. I am so ready for whatever layout that Yuzuru has to show. :D I am quite excited/scared to see pairs as well.

Have fun Thiri, please cheer on our behalf .

Sharing from YHIFG FB. A skater training at TCC posted the below translated message today on her weibo account.

Translation by Tan Ke Xin @YHIFG FB:

"Until now, I'm still remembering about the truth that Yuzuru greeted me first today. He was dragging his suitcase, preparing for his training while I'm getting off the ice rink. He wore a mask, singing while walking, and greeted me "morning!" when he saw me. Then, we settled down and changed our shoes together....but I still dare not to talk to him. How could Yuzuru be this friendly, polite and down to earth?! Although I can't skate together with the World Ice Skating Champion, but we can change our shoes together...."

Although he had an intense aura around him as he passed by me today, when he fell in practice he switched to cute mode and refused to get up. So he was just sprawled there, face down but kicking his legs up like a teenage girl... After a bit he propped himself back up with a big laugh, and wiped the bits of ice off from his face. Brian was laughing at him and said that was "face landing"

I absolutely loooove your cover picture. So beautiful~~ how long have you been drawing him?

Another artist I really love but in a completely different style is @runrun8383 her chibiyuzu's are so adorable I want one on my desk (with Pooh of course)

Thanks! I've been sketching figure skaters especially Yuzu for a couple years now. Runrun's art is soooo cute. I also like collecting many artist's fanarts and enjoy looking at many different art styles.

I gues with 2x 4S in 2nd half he don't want to have two the same quad jumps back to back.
But I wish he would bring back spread eagle-4S-spread eagle in FS he could do spread eagle-4S-3T-spread eagle ;)

Do we have the name of the new stalker from inside the TCC to add to the list or is he/she an anonymous one ? :palmf::laugh:

Not hard to figure out but better not to name her, since she's not competing.
I think at one point she posted a photo of Yuzu in training, but took it down quickly in consideration for his privacy.
So she's not going to be posting photos/videos, but I'd be happy with just the little snippets of news like what she posted :D :D Keeeep them coming!
