How many Russian ladies can skate at the GP events next season? How is this calculated? What are the chances that Liptniskaya or Radionova will participate?
I am no specialist in how the calculation works, but given that Lena made the GPF this year and got gold and silver in her respective GP events, I would be very disappointed if she didn't get 2 assignments.

Radionova will, most likely. Currently, she is #5 russian lady based on nationals, and had pretty decent GP performance this year - there is no reason for her to be left behind.
Now Lipnitskaya and Tuktamysheva will be lucky to get 1 assignment.
Likely to be 4 spots between Alena (she is guaranteed one off the season's best unless something dramatic happens) http://www.isuresults.com/isujsstat/sb2016-17/sbtslto.htm , Julia (has to be host pick), Serafima (but season's best could be over taken by others in 3 championships still to go, however there's also several non-age eligible juniors such as Anastasiia G and Elivaveta N ahead of her), Adelina if she returns, and Stanislava (she's right on the cusp and could do with a higher score/medal at World juniors). Would have thought Elena and Elizaveta T will definitely get 2 slots otherwise the likes of Gracie Gold wouldn't get 2 either. Plus would expect Alina and Polina (interesting though if Stanislava beats her at World Juniors) to get 2.
I wanna say skaters in the top 24 do end up with 2 but I'm way too lazy to check

Adelina is so out of luck. It's what happens when you have no SB and a world ranking that will slip to the 70s. I think it's too late to use her comeback status but I would need to read up on that rule (ETA: I checked and it's too late). Of course she could get a spot as a host pick![]()
Stanislava would have to surpass Polina's SB and not just beat her at JW (or at least go higher than her current rank just to be safe). Right now, Polina is quite high, I can't see her not getting 2 even if she is beaten by Stanislava. If Stanislava can go higher on the list than Polina, she would definitely get 2 too, I don't see how she can't as she would be ahead of both Liza and Alena L who are both, also quite high. If she is still behind Liza and Alena L. but in the top 24 at seasons end she still could get 2I wanna say skaters in the top 24 do end up with 2 but I'm way too lazy to check

Think anyone in the top 24 of both will get 2 unless the Russian Federation wants the like of Julia and Serafima to both have a slot.
However problem for Stanislava/the Russian Federation is that if she gets 2 slots then that's likely to make 16 with her plus the 7 we expect to get 2 i.e. Evgenia etc. through to Alina/Polina. This just leaves 2 for Alena (guaranteed one), Julia, Serafima, plus Adelina if she can somehow come back as a come back skater. However she may have already used up her chance last year.
Its going to be interesting who will USA and Canada invite in their GP. I dont think they will ask 3 Russians though even if they can. Since Rostelecom Cup will most likely be moved somewhere else, can Russia still get the host pick or they will give it to the replacing Fed/country?

Adelina can't come back as a come back skater, she doesn't qualify. And also filling up 18 spots will depend on the other GP as well, they don't have to take 3 Russian ladies. Adelina, Julia and Serafima not getting a GP will at the end of the day, be a "their" problem and not a "her" problem (Stanislava/Leonova and anyone else in the top 24).
OK, but there's a lot more than 12 skaters end up with more than 2 slots. There's bound to be quite a bit and take between the various federations so I would imagine everyone in the top 24 of both rankings and season's best will end up with 2 slots unless a particular federation decides it would like a skater outside of these to get a slot e.g. by using one of their host picks. The 9 in contention for 2 slots are Evgenia, Anna P, Elena, Liza T, Maria, Alina, Polina, Stansislava and Alena, but then that leaves Julia and Serafima out in the cold (their problem as you say). However as you also say there's only 3 (assuming that they finish in the top 12 at worlds) that are guaranteed 2 spots, so the Russian Federation could probably give/get a slot for one or two other skaters provided that it is seen as fair all round i.e. somebody lower not getting 2 and somebody higher only getting one.
p.s. You missed out Tsurskaya - we keep editing our posts at the same time and perhaps keep coming out at cross purposes!

I want to see 3 from this list at SA but knowing SA, it won't happen
Why is Rostelecom being moved? Sorry if I'm out of the loop on something.
Doping. They have already moved some events in other sports.
Let's not speculate on that - I think there is a clear "McLaren rule" posted above. So far no matter how strongly some "friends of Russia" wanted to ban all Russian athletes from everything there are no indications that any restrictive measures are going to be introduced with Russian figure skaters and Russian figure skating including Rostelecom. Even the head of USA SU had to backtrack on what he said after he received an official inquiry from the Russian Fed.
The link is in Adelina's fan thread. That guy from the US who said all that is a tool.
