What a happy news. Reading the article of icenetwork, I had no words… I had just a lot of fears….
Since his retirement, my heart had much pain every time i remembered his smile, and couldn’t watch his performances. I just wished his future and happiness. And this morning Ive found the news… Now I can watch his performances and realized I’ve just fell in love with his presence on the ice, lyricism, skating….
Thanks, Farris. I shall support you whatever happens to you!

last year, February was very sad as 1st anniversary of Joshua's brilliant 4CC 2015 and he was no longer competing...

this year - February rolled around with great news of Joshua return!

Australian figure skater Andrew Dodds tweeted this yesterday to Patrick Commentates Skating. I also seem to remember on this thread there was some hopeful speculation when Tom Z mentioned Josh training 3As again. So clearly he's been in the rink training for the past 2 months and decided to make it official yesterday :)

ETA: Oh and Ed Sheeran will be the musical guest on this weekend's SNL, interesting timing. I would like him to keep "Give Me Love" but we'll see.

Absolutely thrilled for Josh :luv17:.

Have held back from posting the photos below from New Year's Eve (eve of 2017), which gave a glimpse of Josh performing in a group number at an Avs game.
Fellow performers in the group number included Lukas and several 7k men (sans Jason away on his annual family trip).

Happy that it finally feels fine to post these links in the thread :dance2:.

Honestly, I would have no idea Josh was even in these photos/videos. Good eyes!

He tweeted that to a couple of people. I get the feeling that a few of the World Arena skaters have been busting to tell everyone - and Andrew trains with Damon Allen when he's in COS so he would have had an up-close view - but it really goes to show how effective skaters can be at keeping secrets!

Ah! It just occurred to me that he would have been starting to land triple Axels again around the same time Max was learning the Matador program - the level of excitement in that rink must have been out of control!
 
HOORAY! I'm a bit surprised that all Damon did was giggle if that's was his first attempt.

These may be stupid questions, but hadn't Joshua been significantly better on all his edge jumps? Didn't he get edge calls OFTEN on his 3F? Should he try learning the 4S?
 
I wonder if it was a giggle of shock from Damon, like, "Oh my god this kid."

His 3S could get wonky though. The 4T was a beauty when he landed it. If he wanted to upgrade I'm sure the 4S would be in the works...but his loop was also a very pretty jump. His 3F was ! a few times, I don't recall him getting too many "e" though.

I saw this on TSL instagram profile today and WOW, Joshua is ROARING! That's the spirit - he decided on his comeback and waste no time, love the airy and fluid quality of his movement, those quads look so easy on eyes

What are Damon and Josh's Instagram names? I can't find them and apparently us figure skating is not following them.
 
Damon's is @damonenrique and Josh's is @joshdfarris. All the recent quads have been on Damon's instagram though. Josh hasn't posted in a while.
