Damon's is @damonenrique and Josh's is @joshdfarris. All the recent quads have been on Damon's instagram though. Josh hasn't posted in a while.

Better off following Damon than Josh for any training clips - he's posted at least three videos in the past few days.

Josh himself is notoriously social media shy and only posts when he's got big news. Josh sometimes is found on other accounts of his skating friends including Max Settlage @max_settlage and Joe Johnson @joejohnsonice

Max and Joe are quite the characters themselves and are more active on social media.

This might make me a dork, but I think it's worth noting that Joshua's wikipedia page is updated and it no longer starts with him being called a "former competitive skater". That used to make me sad when I would read it. There's is also a new "Hiatus" section. :yes:

Has anyone else noticed that the last 4T video has him landing on queue with whatever music is playing? Is that a coincidence? It doesn't sound like Pines of Rome. Because I hate to write this, but I kinda don't like it.

About that top 12 finish at 2015 Worlds and potentially getting international assignments now based on that: Has anyone else thought about the Zayaking mistake from 2015 Nationals, and how he had (apparently) learned from that? In his 2015 Worlds LP, he made the same 3F-2T mistake (3F-3T was planned) in the beginning but he did a 3Lz-1T instead of that planned 3Lz-2T. And he didn't Zayak again and got at least some points. He may end up benefiting from that lesson - next season, when it really counts.

I did notice this but he did not then continue on as if in a program, which makes me think it wasn't his program but someone else's.

I'm in two minds about Pines of Rome. One half of me really really wants to see it, and doesn't want it to become the "lost program" that fades away and never is skated. But the other half is also wondering that if so much has changed in nearly two years, maybe that program no longer suits him and he might go another direction. Whatever he decides, I know he won't disappoint.

(Unless he chooses a tinkly piano tango again. NO.)

I should probably clarify what I posted: "I kinda don't like it" was referring to the music in the video, not Pines of Rome. Pines of Rome is actually a pretty good piece of classical music. And rarely used in skating, which made it a smart choice - if you know what you are doing artistically.

NO. That SP was disappointing. Especially after I first noticed him with his 2013 Nationals SP. I typically don't pay attention to junior skaters until they begin to make a splash at the senior level. This was just WOW! I also wondered that (and hoped if) he had stopped growing.

Oh hang on, no, I was on the same page. I meant that I didn't think the music in the video was either Pines of Rome or his program, and then I went on to talk about my feelings about the potential for him using Pines of Rome in general.

Libertango was not such a bad idea, but it was probably a year or two too early for him and the music was...problematic. But hey, if that turns out to be the worst program we get from him, that's not such a bad thing. No Footloose lurking in his past...

Well, we know that (and understand why) Josh is usually shy with social media. I would be shocked if he posted anything before this summer.

He does look good - and certainly fit considering the time he's had off. Are those Riedell skates he's wearing? If so, wouldn't that make him a minority with that brand? I wonder what the difference are, if any.

The differences between Riedell and other brands? Skates are like shoes, built on different lasts. Depending on the shape and width of your foot, how high the arches are, etc., one brand of boot will likely fit you better than others. That's really all there is to it.

Definitely Riedells. There are plenty of other skaters around wearing them - I know Brooklee Han does. It's just personal preference and why each one of my Golden Trio uses different boots/blades.
