Yup, really good shape even. The 'worst' seem to have been the pops on the 4Lo but he fixed that and he didn't fall. And with it being the first practice on this new ice, overall quite good.
And so true. Sochi prior to SP for one!
Also Sochi LP runthrough where he nailed his 4S and else but then
Anyway I just wish he remains healthy and in top form for the actual competition. No need to overexert himself in practice.
It does seem like he learnt and does not overjump and overquad himself during practice session now.
There isn't even a pattern for Yuzuru in particular I think. There were days when he had good practice and then good competition, bad practice and good competition, bad practice and bad competition or good practice then bad competition. I think it is overall the same as well for other skaters. How they do in practice really reflect very little on how they will do in competition.
Though for those who are going the downhill road or are not in shape, bad practice almost always result in bad competition too

Those attempts by Shoma Uno were heavy UR. If I were other men, I would not mind.Overall a good start and hopefully Shoma didn't give him weird ideas with those 2A-4T and 3A-4T combos! Though I don't mind if he gets pumped.
Overall Yuzuru will keep the current layout for 4CC I think. He might want to maximize the current layout first before adding new tricks.

I don't know exactly what he said. He could have said "I respect the competitors and I am confident that I could win the Olympics" and then it got lost in translation by the korean reporter or the google trans. It has a different nuance than saying I WILL.

Anyway he trains with Jun Hwan so I expect him to know a bit Korean. He knows spanish and russian a bit too

About 200 fans were in attendance at the Gangneung Ice Arena, where official training began on the 14th, ahead of the 2017 International Ice Skating Championships (ISU) four continental figure skating championships which will be held on the 16th.
It is unusual for spectators to gather and watch the practice, not the actual competition.
It was the fans who gathered to see Hanyu, which is one of the best star in this competition.
Hanyu, who entered the Incheon airport on the 13th, immediately went to Gangneung, and on the afternoon, he made his first training at the main rink of Gangneung Ice Arena.
Some sightings of cheering banners for Hanyu were caught around the stadium, and some Japanese fans arriving in Korea on that day took a big luggage bag from the taxi and went quickly to make it for the training time.
Unexpectedly, there were many Japanese fans, Korean and Chinese fans in the audience.
A banner called "Yuzuru Jia you" (Yuzuru Whiting) prepared by a Chinese fan cheering Hanyu was also noticeable.

Whenever he succeeded in the jump, he was puffed up in the stands (note: lol I don't know what this one mean). When Hanyu jumped on the 4Lo, 'Oh ~' sighing could be heard. I have an exam I need to study for (desperately) and a meeting tomorrow which needs prepwork yet here I am...stuck in this rabbit hole of pictures and fancams...at 2 in the morning
