Lol I just caught up. I can't believe he did the exact same thing as his SP runthru. It was an exact repeat.
It was not horrible but also not great. His score is pretty ok considering he lost some spin levels (and of course the pop).
Now FS is the homework, though to be honest I am not holding my breath so much for obvious reason. That 4S3T is going to be the bane of my existence lol.

I was thinking that's an odd placement for him too. Usually he's either 1-2 or way down (SC). When was the last time he went into the free as 3rd? :think:

What exactly did Yuzu pop? The jump. But anyway we're still proud of him and I'm so excited for his fs which I'm going to see this sun!

I have no desperate need for Hanyu to skate clean here, or even win. I only need him to stay healthy and uninjured to get to Worlds in tip-top shape. If that means not winning 4CC, I can live with that. Pretty sure he won't feel the same way about it, of course, but... *shrug*

I am sure he will focus and get into the FS with the gold on his mind and most especially to regain being Japan's number one (well, he still is.
) At least he is not yet at his peak. We still have the Worlds.Lol like I said, at this point que sera sera, really
To be honest I kind of wish he do well in the SP, for a different reason. I wish by skating well he could finally shake off that skating second jitters that he seems to (always) have. Can't really depend on luck that he will draw a good skating order, really. It's important for his future competition more than what score he gets, I think.
I don't know about his back, We probably would know once we saw the FS pr FS runthrough. If he skips Biellmann then probably there is something. Or it could be just for aestethic purposes. He or Jeff probably saw that the slide was not looking good from a front camera? Who knoes really
Not sure the hugely tall and thin look suits him... ;-)

Seems to me like he's more focused on stabilizing his 4lo. And I thought that 4lo this time is beautiful. Congratulations on that point, now on to the chase!

That's not a bad place to be skating. Can put some pressure on Chen by skating a crackling good free. Hopefully he doesn't get psyched out if Uno skates an amazing free.
