Guys, I've finally figured out why Yuzu was pleading to Evan  I think he was actually apologizing for being expected to start a quad battle but refusing to do so. It's still speculation though...

I personally think Yuzu had had enough quads that particular day. :)

oh so like "please don't make me do it. please please!"?
that makes so much sense!

But regardless of how much he hated his own performance XD:
@koron00314
Hanyu made a fan out of the Korean tour bus guide. "I didn't know anything about figure skating, but I thought, 'the Swan!' He was so refined and elegant, for me he is number 1. Thanks to all of you, I'm able to see this performance." Everybody in the bus clapped.

I've shown that program to so many people and I am yet to meet a person who doesn't shut up a few seconds in and then remains absolutely mesmerized by him till the very end and then some. And a lot of them weren't figure skating fans so it's a great indication how he transcends the sport. So I'm not surprised and it's lovely to hear :luv17:

With age he's become rather reluctant to start quad battles at the end of competitions. Because he receives too much stress on his body and jumping quads becomes more difficult, he also needs to protect his body as usual. So I think this reaction would be very Yuzu. He'd feel regret to fail to live up to audience's expectations.

^This. I doubt he wouldn't have done it if it wasn't because he had skated that amazing H&L just a few hours earlier. I wasn't disappointed of not being a quad battle at the end tbh, i'd rather have him rest, he earned it:luv17:

Runrun's mental image of 4T and 3A as characters XD 4T says "you called?" 3A "time to work?"

So there was that ^

And there's this from @Ksho_gun (terrible and barely accurate translations, sorry, but I also couldn't help giggling)
Quad-morphing is a theme now!
Only now, thinking about the feelings of 4T, I feel like crying. A beautiful weapon of unparalleled trustworthiness (consistency, but since we’re going the quad-morph route), the 4T had been devoted to Hanyu for many years. Although it’s been a little driven away due to family circumstances (4s3t hm? glares), it stayed steadfastly by Hanyu’s side without a single word of complaint. At a pinch, it comes out without reservation, “Don’t be scared. Don’t think. Use me.” I am in love.

Plus the gala was on the same day as the FS, and he also had FS practice earlier. So....yeah.....

Aside from the jump mistake, I thought the exhibition was more beautiful than ever. Every nuance was developed more clearly. Like an ice dancer, he came onto the ice in character. I could tell he's been practicing it. Even though it can't have the same feeling in competition, I want it to become next year's short program. It will be great in a different way.

I think it may well be the reason for the The Kitten Pledge, but is it confirmed? This is still the greatest close up, together with the full version of the one used at the kitten comparison.

Also, this is the longest his hair has ever been in a competition in a long time. If he cuts it for Worlds and it ends up a Worlds 2014 kind of hair tragedy I will be in pain. Please spare me and my life span.

hey, hair grows back. Unless it's Brian's hair loss. Or Raf's! :)))

I liked his Worlds 2014 hair..... :slink:

He looked 12

Yep. Still, I'm sensitive to terrible fashion choices. I'm able to overcome it only if it envolves rhinestones.

as long as he skates I can take any hair style he adopts. :)
Though he hasn't taken too much liberties with that - he just experiments with clothing, not his hair.

I obviously love Yuzu with any hairstyle, but #TeamLongHair for life :dev2::love::biggrin:

I still say that he could skate wearing an actual potato sack and he would still look gorgeous. He would make potato sacks look elegant
