there's only one sure thing I know about his programs next year... and that is.... there will be BLING

pls yuzu don't prove me wrong lol.

I wanted to go to SA this year, but I chose the 2018 nationals instead. Thanksgiving weekend is the worst time to travel in the US, but if Yuzu goes it would be worth it haha.

Oh yeah, if anyone has a favorite US skater, then nationals is definitely the competition to go next year. Just thinking about it makes me :scard7:

And nationals is in my state next year, I really want the stars to align for a SA in CA with Yuzu but that's such a longshot.

I was thinking if Yuzu is going to keep a program, it would be Hope and legacy because it was the theme of the Nagano Paralympics.

I thought the main reason why they put H&L this season was to avoid comparison with seimei. It seem judging by Brian words, they already have program similar to Seimei. Unfortunately the Seimei impac was so big, so any program that has similar concept will be draged so bad if it not meet the expectation. So they decide to put H&L in between.

I mean Seimei was superior and if the successor is meh in comparition, Yuzu would receive luckwarm reaction and the haters will ready labeled him on decline. So I think it is a smart move from Yuzu team to save the best program for Olympic season. With H&L not a cup of tea for everyone, so a program abit better than that(Ok I love H&L tbh, but..) will be more apreciate by public.

I feel very fortunate that I got to see Yuzuru at my first international competition -- Skate America 2012. The competition was two hours from my house. Seeing Parisian Walkways (in one of its earliest performances) in person was quite a delight! As was talking to Brian Orser at the hotel bar.

Boyang will not change his SP for next season while S/H will not change FS.

Oh. Understandable in case of S/H - they've barely performed theirs (akthough, ugh, I don't like the song, I'd rather they kept the SP), but a bit surprising in case of Boyang. He's not splashing in PCS.

Remind me again where Brian talks about already knowing the music for next year etc., ... i'd like to read it for myself.

I'm actually glad for Boyang haha I love his spiderman sp. Even if he can't rack up a lot of pcs I can see him being pretty popular with the olympic audience.

Boyang loves his Spiderman so much and he did get positive response from judges and audience for this, and he said there's not enough time for him to bring two completely new program for Olympic(it's more important than WC but also 6 weeks earlier), so he will keep it.
It's reasonable. If skater decides to keep one of his program from last season, he will have more time to practice and perfect the new one.

Oh, I thought you'd said he was changing his FS, not SP. The Spiderman program is great, I approve of leaving it for the Olympics. It's definitely better of the two and if he goes clean with it, I'm sure it'll pay off.

I wouldn't mind if Yuzuru left his LGC sp, that program is sure to entartain most of the casual of Olympics fs watchers.

I could see Yuzu and Boyang trending on facebook with these SPs. Safer choices not so much.

Yes I think so. More interesting program may be more successful in Olympic. I was heard Yuzu will have new difficulty elements next season, if he want to have two completely new program, there will be tons of works…
