I actually googled it but the first results were that gravure means sexy glamour photography in Japan and I am pretty sure it was not what it meant in the context of the magazine Yuzuru was supposed to be in hahaha, so I thought there is a different meaning for that. Thank you for explaining.

Sorry, I didn't intend to be gloomy. He will win this WC, mark my words. I was just so exhausted from all these nightmares and shared them here with the only people who can understand. I'm so so positive about 2017 worlds :agree:

I had a more optimistic dream last night, clean SP with 109 points. Normally I don't have any dreams at all, so it means I am too much worried about the Worlds. When I woke up my first thought was: "Why 109 points, it should have been WR?!"

I just learned from the State of Canadian Figure Skating thread that there's going to be a joint Team Gadbois & Team Cricket Club Worlds simulation and training session (in Kingston, Ontario, I believe); Javier Raya posted a photo of the group but Yuzu doesn't seem to be there. Is he there as a ninja, did he arrive from Japan/wherever he was too late to go there, will he go there soon? Speculate.

He has been there for a few days,and he never took part in that training test.

Don't know why he never did, past 2 years maybe due to injury but this year not so sure. But Javi did it last year and we know it turned out well for him. A world simulation just like an actual competition, I assume. So there is Op, warm up etc and you are judged as well and there will be multiple skaters going in skating orders. It is good I think, especially since you can go in random skating draws. Also since it is quite a while since Euros so they want to get in that competition mood.

Last year he was heavily injured, I messed up when I said last 2 y , he has done his first and last simulation only his first year in Canada.

Maybe, that's the most logical reason. I don't really know but at least past 2 years if he can't there were his injuries, while during olympic year, I don't think it is necessary to do that especially when he is still drained from OG. If he was there when he was in his 1st year on Canada, he also had 4CC before right in 2013? So I doubt it was solely because he just had been on a competition. Not sure though, just speculating

Javi went last year and it seems useful for him. Nerves is one thing but there are also other things like how to condition yourself etc, which will be helpful by simulation. During competition you basically spent 4-6 days with intense OP and competition from morning until midnight, you want to make sure you are on your best shape and condition during the competition, not during OP. It is different compared to just going for your usual regular scheduled training.

Might be useful to test out random draw orders. Get you ready to skate in an order you might not be used to? For example.
