Hey, English isn't my first language either. Neither is Russian, come to that...
So relax - your English is perfect! So is everyone else's here... It's just that sometimes I have to invent these situations for students to practise: "Oh God, he isn't there, what could have happened, what might he be doing, he must have fallen ill..." etc. Here for once I just could take the situation from reality and tweak it for practise!

My english classes wouldn't have been so boring if i had to read your posts hahaha (i seriously hated them!)
IIRC, last year's simulation was in Oakville, just around a 45 minute drive from tcc. Kingston is a bit more than a couple hours away, so more of a halfway point between montreal and toronto.
I hope he isn't practicing too hard while those coaches are away, lol.... I hope those days of too much risk are now behind his wiser self....

P{lease, - addressing everyone- don't get intimidated by my presence here - this is where I take a break from the tedious tasks of having to mark students' works and translations.
I remember an interview after GPF 2015 where he mentioned that Javi's performance and the crowd cheering Javi really upped his competitive spirit before his skate. When Javi's score was announced he thought "that's a really good score I have to beat it". Then when he went on the ice and the crowd started chanting "Javi, Javi..." he thought "I'm the one skating now!" so he went around the rink and did a huge triple axel ending with power Seimei arms as if to say "I'm here. The one you should be watching is me". Then later he said that the reason he cried after his skate was because he felt a lot of fear but hadn't realised it until then. I guess his need to beat Javi and win the crowd won over his nervousness.
After NHK Trophy I also remember him saying that Boyang's performance also fired him up. He seems like the type of competitor that does well when there's someone to beat. The adrenaline from his competitiveness seems to help him overcomes his nerves. On skating first, maybe it's good for him because he has less time to overthink or get nervous.

So how do we explain GPF 2016, after Nathan's 113 TES? He must have heard the score. Maybe he felt 'intimidated' by Javi and Patrick going after him.

Maybe... I don't think it was a good idea, not let him hear the score. He could have skated with different mood then.
It was a mind blowing skate from Nathan, it seemed to affect mentally everyone who skated later. But Yuzu started well, it was after the fall when the things started to go wrong. And after all he won GPF.

At GPF Yuzuru blew the problematic combo and wasn't in the form that he had at 4CC. It wasn't Nathan, it was the same problem that he's had all season long. The good news is that his form seems to be on the rise, knock on wood, so at 4CC he responded much better than he did at GPF. But then I don't think GPF was terrible either.
I doubt he's affected at all by now by either Javier or Patrick. Yuzuru seems more like the person who is either spurred on by opponents or battling inner daemons.
