I suggest another motto then: "Not a single day without us inventing a new jump layout for Yuzu!" :)

I feel like he must have thought of all the layouts you guys have posted here.
Do you think he worries as much as us or even more ?

Hope not! This worry is cumulative - we just infect each other with it! :)
He knows what he can do whereas we don't quite...

At GPF Yuzuru blew the problematic combo and wasn't in the form that he had at 4CC. It wasn't Nathan, it was the same problem that he's had all season long. The good news is that his form seems to be on the rise, knock on wood, so at 4CC he responded much better than he did at GPF. But then I don't think GPF was terrible either.
I doubt he's affected at all by now by either Javier or Patrick. Yuzuru seems more like the person who is either spurred on by opponents or battling inner daemons.

I think it seemed worse at GPF because of the singled Lutz. Otherwise his performance wouldn't have been much different than NHK.

I still have hope...

Me too. I am sure the silver medal at 4CC lit fire under him. I firmly believe that it gives him so much more extra motivation that with his competitiveness and intense focus he will overcome his nerves in Helsinki. And we know that this Yuzuru is the most dangerous one.
The circumstances must be good, however. I really hope the preparation in the next weeks will be perfect and will go everything as planned - then that he will be in top shape by the end of the month. Then I hope that he will have luck with the draw, it would be great if he skated 5th or 6th (but again, if not, then he will feel even more motivated to be mistake-free).

But I won't panic unnecessarily about of the 4S3T, because it doesn't help...at all :)

I keep on remembering that one interview (i hope i didn't imagine that one, i don't remember where i read it anymore) where yuzu talked about wanting to eliminate his routines/rituals before skating? and about the way eg. stepping onto the ice with the wrong foot affects his mental state etc. Maybe that's what skating 2nd is to him by now? Like a jinx

I really hope I didn't dream that interview up... anyone else who remembers it?

On the one hand I am of the unpopular opinion that Yuzu should keep the ~combo of doom~ (And because he's Yuzu he will most probably keep it anyway.) Maybe it would be wise to replace it but he is capable of excuting that combo and I think he should learn to overcome these mantal blocks for his general growth.... On the other hand I'm thinking, everybody has weaknesses and that's just Yuzuru's weakness. Maybe he will really just have to learn to work around it and stop being stubborn and replace it... We can keep on guessing on these matters but at the end of the day him and his coaching team know him better than we do. All we can do is trust their decisions.

But on a more general note, I am feeling very optimistic about worlds :hap85:

Kind of a significant date... intentional? :o

Oh yes of course, now that you say it !... the earthquake anniversary wasn't mentioned in the teaser though (at least I think), so it may be a coincidence ? I guess we'll have to wait and see...

Haha, you didn't dream it up. Dec 18 I believe, the long interview he gave Nagano-san before news of his withdrawal hit. I remember they gave him a really big bouquet of roses and he was somewhat overwhelmed. Now did I mix impressions of different interviews.... I don't think so.

Ohhhh now I remember it too!! Yeah I think you're right, it's the same interview with the bouquet and the photos of his gpf wins.
I've been reading/watching alot of his interviews in random order these days, im starting to get confused lol

you don't have to wait around with 1... and maybe there's just something wrong for Yuzu with mid-term waiting.
Gosh, guys, you're getting me into a nervous state nearly a month before the big competition. :) You'll have my dead body on your hands if you continue like this!

Me too:hopelessness:

I am sorry i feel terrible saying this but
I think the title of Ice Prince belongs to Yuzu and no one else. Not bashing at all, just... i think that title is his
:(
