I'm cutting down, ssshhhh...
Anyway, I am pretty sure half of you here who used to psyche with me before/during/after competitions will be there in person during worlds.
It will be such a lonely psyching and anxiety-ridden days when worlds come. :dbana:

You are not getting away from your soul twin, as I'll be here too so anxiety-ridden days will be shared.
And the drink. You're not getting away from that either, if all turns out well.

OK, we just have to work out what's the lucky number for Yuzu and hold our breaths there...

6th is fine! I can totally live with it being a 6.

--> Puts you in a naughty box We don't speak of 2S or 4S REP. We don't. SShhhh

Right. Someone just give me a list of banned themes to talk about. I'll work hard at memorising them in the naughty box.

Yeah I know that, when I said he didn't go I meant he didn't compete until the end.
For me to not participate at Worlds at all and to withdraw after placing 5th at SP are two different things ;)

Additionally, aside of Plush and Petrenko, most (if not all) men's OGM retired or did not skate to the next OG after they won their first OG. So I'd also argue the reason why we rarely see repeat OGM is because of that. ;)
That's true, but the thing is, most men won OGM at 20 y.o. and older, only Button and Yuzu were younger (18 and 19). (I talk only about period "after Button" of course). It would be unreasonable to stay and compete another Olympic 4-year period when you are not getting younger and helthier :( and already have got the main medal in sport.

Only Button, Urmanov, Petrenko, Boitano and Plushenko continued until next Olympics.
Button won OGM at 18 and skated next 4 sesons, won second OGM at 22 and retired. (However we have to remember - at that time men didn't jump 3A or quads  )
Boitano made a come back at OWG 1994 and finished 6th.
Petrenko competed for 2 seasons and skated at next Olympics.
Urmanov competed full 4 seasons, but he didn't succed to get to Nagano.
Plushenko skipped 3 seasons after Torino, competed only during 2009-2010 and managed to get silver (not bad, really)

Considering this, Yuzu is indeed so unique in the history of figure skating with his incredible devotion to the sport. :luv17:

well... if he skates clean and loses, the politiking will be so obvious that it'll cause a scandal to merit its own wikipedia page. tbh i'm sure he's not blind to the presence of politiking, and anyhow I don't actually think Olympics is the end-all of his ambitions... don't forget that 4A among other things  he likes to win, but he cares most about the performance, I think.

which it (almost) was

Yes, so the odds aren't totally against him. He'll only be 23!!

And Yuzu is different from Plush and Yuna because he actually consistently competed throughout the quad, so he won't have issues with starting position, low PCS, politics (as much...hopefully), etc.

Also, as someone who actually did get very drunk for 4CC, I'm side-eyeing this discussion of alcohol

Now you're making me wistful - I can't drink. At all. Unfortunately - so try watching this while you're sober...

You with your tea, me and my orange juice, then!

But see I got drunk for SP, but stuck to orange juice for LP. So it's kind of a lucky charm for me.

Maybe this is too early to speak about next season , but I wonder if yuzu will add 4Lz/4F (or maybe 4A but I doubt it) to his program since the young skaters now have more difficult jumps.. :scratch2:

I'd rather have aguas frescas lol(HIBISCUUUUUUUSSSS<3 and barleyyyy <3), food is probably the only thing about my country that i actually like.
Also, i just saw the announcement, Golden Skate is asking for bilingual japanese/english writers possibly involving credentials to the events and i am so mad that i didn't start japanese lessons sooner

BTW no more blank posts guys pls.. Yesterday, my eyes hurts so much.. try to read it :laugh2:

He won't add the 4F but honestly, does anyone doubt by now he'll add the 4Lz? I am fully expecting that one.

We don't talk about the 4A. Ok Yata doesn't talk about the 4A because this happens...

I thought I had enough grey hairs aready without worrying about that? But yeah, the likelyhood of his adding something else is pretty high. He isn't the one to like being left behind by youngsters.

What exactly did you try to read? They were just blank posts... Is not like we were picking purple mushrooms :rolleye:
Just select the text and you will be able to read it without straining your eyes haha
If we start another invisible page, i swear i'm not going to be the one behind it! I only gave you the photos from my collection, if you want to discuss any of them that's up to you :rolleye:
