I doubt it, he seems to be more reasonable (lol) now. The makeshift layout at 4CC might seem crazy (to us), but 4T and 3A are his dependable jumps that he can throw out of nothing. 4Lz is not. We have never even seen a footage of him landing it. I doubt he would YOLO it, especially at such big events as worlds. :think:

I remember last time he spoke of it he was exactly 1/4 short of rotation? Isn't that the max amount of underrotation allowed on a jump to be considered rotated? So he might not even get an UR call if he YOLO's it!

I think he meant this as 1/4 short of rotation than what would be accepted as a fully rotated jump, so technically he is 1/2 rotation short, which would be a downgrade. I still doubt his ability in landing any UR jump though

I was saving it for a special occasion because yes it totally is

Now you know he would try and turn that into a 3S-1Lo-4S. You know he would.
I actually wonder how much is muscle memory bad here. If he didn't have it, he wouldn't have gone for that Lo, which would have freed one combo. But you know he kept at it in practice.

Muscle memory is a thing, but at the same time had it not been for him doing YOLO layout in practice, we would not see that 4CC FS. So, there is a silver lining in it, I think. :shocked:

I wonder though... when he fell on the 4S-3T at NHK and GPF, he never did a third combo (either on the 4T or the 3Lz, though at GPF it was impossible). I wonder why. Forgetting that the new rules means the REP doesn't count as a combo?

I hope 4CC taught him some lessons! Attach a 3S even if you can't get the 4S! Then don't forget to not do 1lo-3S on your 3A later on, or you'll Zayak! (I guess he'd do 4T-2T and 3A again!)
