Whoa o____________o

I think there's just something about the way he moves that is really attractive. Ofc his face (and butt) is the cherry on top

If that level of expression could somehow go with the jumps in the actual program. I cannot, I dies.

Flails.

I still can't get over how gorgeous he was in that video .... this is why I'm trying to learn how to skate, so I can maybe one day have a tiny tiny fraction of that beauty

Yuzu looks so good in just all black and that puffy jacket.

kyaaaa~~~~

--------------------------

it's never going to happen but i wish they could just release a compilation DVD of him doing run throughs of all his programs. practice gear is fine. How gorgeous was he in black?!

I love this choreo. So sad that this part didn’t make it to the actual program, but lucky to be able to see this footage.

Yuzu is Divinity in Motion ...shamelessly stolen lyrics :p

The Way He Came Into The Place
I Knew Right Then And There
There Was Something Different
About This Boy

The Way He Moved
His Hair, His Face, His Lines
Divinity In Motion

As He Stalked The Arena
I Could Feel The Aura
Of His Presence
Every Head Turned
Feeling Passion And Lust
:
:
:
Dangerous
The Boy Is So Dangerous
Take Away My Money
Throw Away My Time
You Can Call Me Honey
But You're No Damn Good For My Heart

I cried a little when he began talking about world's... It is the first time i see this video and i am impressed! Just when i believe it is impossible to love him more, another thing that makes my admiration grow appears :D thanks so much!

yeah... the bit about world's. And his face when he was talking about it.... :sad4:

Thanks!! I think I've seen this before. But it doesn't say anywhere that he'd requested 30 changes from the guy who mixed Seimei for him. Is that a separate interview?

I think this is from an interview with the guy who edits music for team Japan, I remember seeing it but would need to dig it up.

It was an interview with sound designer Keiichi Yano in Figure Skating Life Vol.4. Here is the translation of "32 versions of Seimei" by nanoka12 of the excerpt where Keiichi talks about working with Yuzuru on the music cut.

Your avatar is gorgeous <3
Btw guuuys, i passed the level 2 test (with 92 points haha)! Starting this saturday i will be transferred to level three :D The teacher said that my vocabulary, listening skills and kanji all are level three or higher, but that i need to work on the grammar and the parts that i need to study are exactly the ones the level three class will start studying this week :D
If it wasn't for Yuzu i would have never dared to sign up for clases, but he reminded me of why i started to study japanese: to find accurate information about the things i'm passionate about, and understand them from the native language instead of relying on translations.
I am so grateful for all the little changes i've made in my life thanks to him, i've become a happier person :)

Yayyyyyy, congrats!
Have you seen this vid before? I think this was just before Worlds last year, but he was asked to expand on what he meant in that super long answer he gave at the press conference of NHK Trophy last season. He talked about how he didn't want to kill off the multitudes of possibilities represented by all the different skaters - his dream of 4A, that Patrick might add a 4S (and he did), that Javi might add a 4L (didn't), Boyang might... , that some new skater might come along, etc - by saying that doing a certain thing is enough.

He also complained a little about being laughed at for a really long time for the 5 minute answer :laugh2:

Love and respect this boy so much.

I have, though I vaguely remember if it has not been properly translated or have been translated in a gist but I remembered this. He said about skating like Chiddy in 20-30s also in a similar setting to this one I think? ;)

Speaking of which, it reminds me again about how FS technically took a step back jump-wise after Yagudin injured himself and eventually retired. All the medalists at Salt Lake City did 3-4 quads in total, which is arguably the same difficulty to those done in Sochi. While between that... we know what happened. (Though I'd say they improved the quality of the elements compared to the olden days) Kind of makes me wonder how FS will take off after the quad craze this year. There is also a chance it will quieten down depending on how things unfold.

Sorry to get OT, but how long have you been learning? I'm thinking of taking up Japanese too, in the future. And naturally, congrats!

wow so many awesome links, thank you ! I didn't know those about the making of the music cut of Seimei, they're absolutely awesome !

I'm a bit late to the party, but I must confess that my favourite Yuzuru's costumes are Seimei and Hana ni nare - that kind of traditional japanese outfits -inspired costumes with modern cuts really fit him I think, and give him a very unique silhouette among other skaters. It's both gorgeous and classy. And fits his love for his country.
So, my dream would be that he choses that kind of outfit for one of his programs for the olympic year. With one of those Japanese rock music with traditional japanese instruments, such as "Change" and one of wagakki band songs that was posted earlier. It just fits him so well <3

(but please, Yuzu, not another swan !)

Speaking of hana ni nare : I loved that old video which resurfaced recently on Yuzu's facebook fan group : https://twitter.com/Chiyochiyoyo/status/838746448560709632
with Angelica Yuzu's translation : https://www.facebook.com/groups/1610393525875114/permalink/1866007440313720/

Gotta love Nobu and Machida's warnings about how Dai really shouldn't even dare disturb Yuzuru when he's that focused, or he'd become reaaaally angry :laugh2:
That's really sad Machida retired so early. :(
