Shomita is Spanish for little Shoma. I think it fits him! :) Awww, poor smol bean. I don't see him getting any taller, so he's going to be a permanently smol bean...Dang, just saw on the FB page that there's no livestream for the competition, but they say they will post videos as soon as they can. :sad4:

ETA -- The -ito(s) -ita(s) suffix in Spanish can stand for small and/or cute and can be used as a term of endearment. So in Shomita's case, I think it is very appropriate.

St. Patrick's Day seems like a great time to post one of the cutest leprechauns ever! Still missing this great costume. Happy St. Patrick's Day!

ETA -- Ok, now I'm laughing! So I'm a week early! I guess I'm missing the costume a lot more than I realized! :laugh2:

more credit for swooners!, at least they are positive, sometimes hilarious, but only with good things to say about skaters, so I approve:agree:

Pchiddy is 26 and Poje 29, I don't feel it is a big difference... u're all right

Shoma scored 104 pts in Luxembourg! :gclap: It's an ISU sanctioned comp right ?
Didn't get to see the program, waiting for the protocols

It's a sanctioned competition, like most are, but it's a B comp, so I'm not sure if it will count for his PB. He just has to do this again at Worlds, then!

they do count for PB ;) i remember some people complaining that mordovian ornament last year gave such high scores and boosted many people's PBs

very nice skate SHOMA!!!!! that was beautifully done. I love how loose his shoulders and neck are. It is very expressive.
ETA : i was wrong.. they don't count... i should keep to swooning... :drama:

patrick just turned 26.... so he still feels a bit young...

Andrew has been 30 for about 2-3 weeks now... you can see that psychologically, it makes a difference for an old crooner swooner like me ;)

BUT... this is just virtual after all ;) so yes, I am fine ;) I know where to draw the line with real life boys LOL...

Wasn't that because it was part of the ISU Challenger series, though? Either way, this SP and its result going so well is definitely going to pump him up for Worlds. Here's hoping for a good FS! :cheer:

well, these competitions are also used to get TES minimums for worlds, so they count as well.

Congratulations to Shoma for a huge score.

I hope we're now all on the same page:

Coupe du Printemps will not count toward SBs and PBs.
(It is not a Challenger, whereas Mordovian Ornament was a Challenger.)

For those (unlike Shoma) who need TES minimums, Coupe du Printemps will count toward TES minimums.
But still not for SBs and PBs.

they make it complicated, so we get confused :) muahahaha....

thanks ice coverage..

so ... they count for TES minimums but not for SB or PB? that's a bit weird IMHO... either make the scores count or not :) anyways... thanks for clarifying.. it just means Shoma will have to make his WC's SP just as good.
