I've been watching Boyang Jin and Jason Brown doing this sort of hydroblading in their programs this year but they never actually go low enough or hold it long enough to actually feel like a proper Hydroblade for me. I really do love this move. Anyone else has done them in competitive programs or does it only appear in EXs?

Akiko Suzuki. Hers are arguably better than Yuzuru, imo. ;) And of course the ones who popularize the move, Shae-Lynn Bourne and Victor :laugh:

Actually that what I meant. Not the soundtrack per se, but the scores. You know, FF, Kingdom Hearts, Full Metal Alchemist, SnK has many great war songs but I don't think it's his style. Or maybe another Japanese movie. I love it when he makes me go hunting for his music lol

No, i meant i don't think i would like if he used anime soundtracks for skating. But if he used music composed by the same composers, i wouldn't complain, because i like the style. To be honest i want Yuzuru as far as we can keep him from getting involved in anime, after YoI i don't really want him near that anymore :laugh:

Akiko is from her kill bill SP, I think (she lifted her free leg high and doesn't use hand support, I love that move) can't remember which year, sorry :sad21:
Shae-Lynn did it in an ex here (if you want to see the one she did with Viktor then I don't know I am not an ice dance uber lol)
Actually, I think Yuzuru is more of an ina bauer/biellmann person, thus you will see him doing that in his programs since his junior years; I am inclined to think it is probably shae-lynn who like the move so much and since it is well-received during Seimei (and Yuzu did it really well) so we see it again during HnL. I would think if Yuzuru has to make a choice he would drop the hydroblade over layback ina bauer ;)

What can i say, i am a person who has a favorite note in a singer's vocal range... Being so attached to a particular element doesn't feel unusual to me haha
Also isn't that her 2012 SP?

Maybe, I think so? I can't remember the chronology of other skaters' program well unless it is Yuzuru, honestly :p

Also, yuzuru likes hydroblade too, he did that in a number of exes even prior to Shae-Lynn. So don't worry we will still see it a lot even if it is not included in a program ;)

Nah, folks, seeing Yuzuru with recognisably Russian tunes creates a split in my psyche. :biggrin:
Though I'm fine with Crusader/battle sequences - these are gonna be hell to skate to, but could be just challenging enough for Yuzu to get interested. But not when you get Nevsky's army. :)
