I never stay up late for them, as much as I want too, my work schedule is difficult and without proper sleep I am a zombie. If they are live during a time when I am awake I will watch them wherever I am, and if I can not watch them where I am I will watch the recordings at home and avoid the threads and all social media.

I have no limit, as i went and took my final test the Sunday of NHK Trophy. I didn't sleep and somehow managed to get a very high score  I swear i was high on Hanyu that day :laugh2:

It's by far the most exciting thing to be staying up at around 5 in the morning to watch some Autumn Classic. :)

I would have fallen alseep during the exam. I seriously can not handle it, and I can't drink caffeine because it makes me feel worse. There is just no way.

It sounds fun, it's just not feasible. I tried to stay up for the junior words men's short program and I made it till 12:30am but couldn't manage anymore because it was work week. Four continents men's short program I believe I made it to 1:30am because I had nothing to do the next day but it's painful. I wanted to see Yuzu live, it wasn't working. I was able to watch the free live since it ran till like 10:00pm, that was wonderful! My friends think I'm a grandma, washed up at 26...

Or go to bed at 8pm to wake up at 3 :D

That is definitely a thing, "the power of Hanyu," is bestowed upon his most devoted fans for all those moments when sleep is lost to see the ultimate figure skater win! It can only be bestowed on those who watch the events live at a cost to their own sleep.

(Ten hour test sounds deathly)

Me all season except Skate Canada (which i watched at work lol, yay for ISU Stream) and Autumn Classic. It was worth it! And it was a ten hour test because it tested everything i learned in college :P I was getting really tired after the first four hour session but honestly, remembering Yuzu's smile after hearing his score and how he looked on the podium was enough to make me say "no, focus, you can do this, you can work harder!" to myself :D

If junior worlds is basically as hardcore/competitive as senior worlds (seriously a 4Lz...and he was age eligible too) then what's the point of having age limits...

Old comment is old but I wanted to add my 2 cents: I think the age limit was more for the benefit of the ladies' skating than Men's. Unlike Men, some girls have a tendency to peak pre-puberty and then lose their technical proficiency as they grow, so the age limit prevents a Tara Lipinski scenario.

well, I'd hate to have missed on that unforgettable moment of seeing Yuzu in white pants. I was rolling around the room with laughter at 4 something a.m. It was absolutely worth the wait and the sleepy groggy day with no sleep at all!

I get really loopy once I get past 2:00am, when I was in college my friends usually would make sure I got back to my dorm okay because I was so out of it. I would have been rolling on the floor laughing with you if I was up at 4:00am more so because your were laughing than for seeing the white pants hahaha.

I have fun imagining the unveiling of Yuzu's costumes as a global event. Everywhere around the world, collective gasps and squeals and o.O|| time synced to the moment he takes off his jacket, etc.

Well I'm not an expert but I think not pushing preteens to be doing quads should also be important for their health and safety?

Also, "old comment" was posted 4 hours ago

Wow, I had a totally different reaction to those pants (and outfit in general) :o:

There had been one unspoken rule before that - no matter what the top is like, the bottom stays black. And then he just broke it with such a gusto with those pants!
Yeah, I still miss the white costume, sorry... my heart will never heal!

10 hour test? Oh lord. Which school was this? (you don't have to answer, that was half rhetorical haha) I was very close to just staying in Mexico and going to UNAM... Well, luckily for me Worlds this year just happens to be at a time when I don't have anything to do other than practice for my guitar lesson, so I won't need the Yuzu high haha. But I'll probably need it in a few months when I start working full time and decide that it's totally a good idea to go to bed at 4 to watch a random FS event...

You know about CENEVAL? The one i had to do is this one, the school doesn't matter because you have to take it regardless of school lol.
Hm, you might be able to put all your feelings in the guitar lesson with the Yuzu high :D
