I have a really hard time telling between this toe loop and his salchow lol. His salchow it looks like he takes off from his right foot instead of his left...It almost looks like his weight is on his right foot here. Is his right blade on the ice?!

I noticed this also, I think he uses his right foot to help the take off from the left foot. I watched some slo-mo videos of his 4S sometime ago just to check it.

As an electrical engineering graduate, it amuses me to know Yuzu used electrical analogy. I wonder how good he is in electronics since one of you said he fixed his PSP himself.

About analog vs digital TV comparasion, I think he meant how his skating turns to be more effective and less risky after going to TCC. How his stamina lasts longer now. How he has a big team thus he has a lot of choices in producing his programs.

Yuzuru electronic nerd=confirmed
He also mentioned once that he likes to know how machines work. He has all the qualities of an engineer, i'm sure he would have been a wonderful engineering student, if he had the time!
About the comparison, i had to use a dictionary for the term i didn't know. He says that until now (that is, up until going to train at TCC) he was like an analog tv, and wondered (i think he said wondered, he used かな) if it was possible for him to turn into a digital tv. That is, that his "complete form" (完成形)is (becomes?) "high definition". Also, he didn't know if he was going to someday turn 3D (:laugh2:), because it is a process.

...Or something like that :slink:

I don't know if I should thank or curse the person who posted that gif yesterday, but I just couldn't close the tab I used to open it. It's been open non-stop for 24 hours. It's just too mesmerizing

I love this boy - he always comes up with something highly unconventional. Be it figure skating or just speaking!

Perhaps is it because I am a nerd too, but actually I think his metaphor makes sense ?

Before CC = low-def, with noise and distorsion, --> analogic
at CC = high-def, no noise --> numeric
in the future = full HD with 3D, the "perfect program" he is striving for :)

(haha I think I've got to thank Yuzu for learning the words "kuyashii" and "kampeki")

Yeah, i thought so too, like his form wasn't "crisp" enough? And 3D being something you can appreciate from every single angle? That's how i understood it :slink:

Lmao this nerd. I can relate tho. Even now after I've turned my back from electrical engineering and now working in media, I can't help but using it as analogy

Too bad he can only take online classes in Waseda (even though it's kinda scientific as well), I wonder what kind of major he would take if he had time.

I just uploaded a pic of Yuzu to a neural network "how beautiful is your photo" analyzer and...
This was the result...
true, but I appreciate what truly belongs to him rather than what was acquired for him :p
I only analyzed his underwear after thorough examination of the gif... VERY THOROUGH EXAMINATION. And i may or may not have a still of that gif in my google drive. Look for it in the ice shows folder...

Just 99,8 per cent? That's scandalous - he deserves nothing less than 100 percent! ;)
I am tempted to see what score the yellow ruffle gets... anyone wants to analyze it? A friend gave me the link and you can see i was doing it on mobile because my internet at work is acting up...

One, Nam told Yuzu that his Toe Loop looked like a Salchow. Anyone knows why he might have said that?

I've always thought that his Salchow looks like his Toeloop. In the tumblr gifset where they use his jumps for jump identification, it's so hard for me to see his Salchow as a Salchow because of the way he sweeps his left leg back. His weight definitely seems more over the right leg compared to other skaters when they do the Salchow I feel...
