...And I'm thinking again about the themes he will choose for his OLY season program. I don't see him choosing a warhorse again ... Not after SEIMEI and H&L...

I think he may follow the 2015/2016 season pattern. Classical-ish short and powerful non-warhorse FS? Or maybe Rock-ish short and still powerful FS. Both would work well.

Not only you think that. I mean I have never seen any good juliet. The aura does not match. Maybe Yulia but she had a horrible season when she used that music. What a pity cause I really wanted to see her skating to that program well.

I think the tragedy theme is too much for junior skaters though. To me, Yuzuru's Romeo 1.0 is immortal. No one can do something like that ever again.

I am not against Yuzuru go for Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliet though. :laugh2: I love Prokofiev.

That's the trouble with ice Juliets - female skaters make her too soft and graceful and sorta meek - just an object to love, not a passionately loving girl. An absolute opposite of Shakespeare's JUliet who was in charge of her own life at the age of 14 - and wasn't afraid of being open about her feelings, could get angry with her nurse or even with Romeo, was gutsy enough to take a drug and face finding herself in a tomb...

Erm, nah, doing Romeo twice is probably enough. Or was Yuzu Juliet last time? He wasn't so bad then!!! :laugh2:

I thought tragedy was easier to portrait than lyricism?

In terms of Juliet, Sasha Cohen skated to several versions of it (as an exhibition first then as a free program), but my favorite was actually when she debuted it at a minor cheesefest, Sears Classic in Canada or something: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8PDaPEgo-Eg&feature=youtu.be

Just seemed like more emotions and she could take her time with the moves since it wasn't about the jumps. I also really liked this costume. Simple but really nice. (Oh and she has a great Ina Bauer too ;))

I belive he will keep his LGC short. He always keeps his SP 2 seasons. Even in OLY season.

I read Brian say he's got music already for next year. But I think keeping LGC would add general appeal outside of skating. That could get him trending on Facebook.

There'd be a lot of talk about him and his pants on social media, no doubt about it... errr...

Somehow I woudn't mind to see Yuzu decides to skate R&J 3 and the whole FS world burn

I think that too, but I can't decide what I would like to see more: classical short or rock short? I love both Chopin and LGC so much

That's it! R+J1 Romeo and R+J2 Juliet. Match made in heaven! Bam, done.

Yeah, he was the best juliet. :palmf:

Yuzuru Hanyu- the best Romeo AND Juliet you will ever get

I'd love if he kept LGC- I absolutely love it and all the energy he puts in

I'm torn about it- I love LGC and I know it would make wonders with casual viewers, but I want as many different programmes from him as we cen get

Same  Keeping LGC could be a good move for the OLY season because he'll be secure in that programme so able to deliver high quality performances with it, and it'll be really popular with casual viewers because it's so much fun and full of energy and breaks the kind of stereoptype that FS has.
but I would also love to see two new programmes for next season to see how Yuzu can elevate himself even further.
