He's doubting his abilities? Oh my god.
B.Esp wasn't so negative. But they did change from "finest skater ever" to "finest skater of the last few years"
I don't want to hear what they have to say about the others, though.
He always blames to himself, like usual. It is very frustrating to be trapped by the same issue over and over again, and I wont be surprised if judges and the fed feel the same way. It is his decision to not make any changes, then he's gonna take responsibility for that. Let's face the truth, the room for him to make mistakes is nearly non-existing right now, even when he goes clean.
Yeah, he's not benefitting from consistency bonuses anymore.

A 10 points gap in a time where a men's free skate program can score above 200 points, giving that the difference between medal colors and a win can be less than half a point, means that if he still ends up out of the podium, which I find unlikely actually but that's me, he has only himself to blame as it is in any other close competition. So I don't get the gloom. I wonder if he was in 2nd and around 10 points down from first, ex. like Javier after the SP at Worlds 2016, the response would be different.

I have just got back from arena and I am all empty, despite mistake I felt the performance was the best this season, i can't help but still mourn about that combo, why you have to be that stubborn Yuzu, and yep I also feel that JSF backs up shoma more now because Yuzu is having pretty inconsistent season. Whatever happens I'll keep supporting him, sadly he never gets as much love from judges as others now![]()
I hope you guys there managed somehow! He was still great, even with that dratted combo!AhhI hope you guys there managed somehow! He was still great, even with that dratted combo!

Well lets be honest here. JSF is not backing Yuzuru, they're full on pushing Shoma. There's not much to be done about that. Even the location of the Worlds and all the European judges, they're just another issue that is exacerbated by lack of Fed help.
But, but! They can all just toddle off! The fed, JSF, everyone. It's bad now, it'll be worse next season.
Fingers crossed he can skate cleanly on Sat because it'll be a nice boost for him, mentally and in general, for next season. But primarily, mentally. He should never doubt himself, never. I get so angry, for him. Gah. So I hope that focused, fierce samurai he has within himself comes out to play on Saturday and shows everyone why he is who he is. I don't care if he wins with that. I just care that he shows what he obviously needs to show, which is his full abilities, in order to feel at peace.
And I don't want to say what else I'm thinking because really, not pretty![]()
Evgenia Medvedeva is consistent. None of the men are consistent. Patrick, Javi and Shoma make plenty of errors regularly. Boyang and Nathan don't have everything under control either. The "Yuzu is more inconsistent than others" myth is a perception problem.
" kind of things. This time he really needs Tracy and Brian attention, they have to show him that nothing is lost yet.I feel sad reading that. Like they're giving up on him... He should know that at least we will never give up on him...
It doesn't make sense that JSF will stop backing him. When Yuzuru was Shoma age he was already Olympic Champion, and this season the one who got better results when they competed together is Yuzuru...
Now I'm thinking about him being disappointed and saying this "I have a lack of abilities" kind of things. This time he really needs Tracy and Brian attention, they have to show him that nothing is lost yet.
One of the Japanese headlines from his practice this morning was "Couldn't land a single 4Lo... worrying adjustment". Oh yeah? Except the ones that he did land?
So, generally speaking, JSF, Fuji, Japanese media, ... not that kind. It's why I appreciate the likes of Nobu and Shuzo-san
As I said, being present today I could only feel positive, but the thought did flit across my mind that JSF has switched to backing Shoma.
There are some reassuring precedents. WC 2012 and 2014 were clutch performances when his back was to the wall. I may feel sick with the intensity of the situation on Saturday.

Guys, when I am not panicked and not mad you guys expect Yuzuru to do well in LP. I think Nathan will do well LP too btw.
Yuzuru will win WC. Take my words for that.![]()
. He does well in the FS when he's behind on the SP. Fights for absolutely everything. The question is...4 quads or 5?? What kind of YOLO quad will we see if he does one???I will happily stop following figure skating and the horrible judging when yuzu decides to leave, but the one thing I will never give up on is yuzu, is when he goes through those bad moments that he needs the most support, and I know he will do amazing in the free program:luv17:
