"For the first time ever, Japanese skaters grabbed the gold and silver medals at worlds."
Come on icenetwork, Japan went 1-2 at 2014 Worlds when Yuzuru won his first title :handw:

That was one heck of a comeback by Yuzuru
Looking forward to his two new programs next season!

Surely they should remember such a tough battle between Yuzuru and Tatsuki :roll5:

Oh, when Yuzuru won the worlds title, the runner up was both Japanese ;)

I'm counting on Skate America, lake placid is just 6 hours driving for me and Skate America is the only international event that I can attend. I'm not among those lucky people who can come back to US after going out :( How I miss my beloved Canada.

Fingers crossed ;)

Heard SA is the last event though, so maybe if he gets NHK he would opt to skip that. I wonder since he can (sort of) freely choose which GP now, whether he would want SC again.

OMG!!!!!!!! - That was the best LP from Yuzuru I have ever seen. And it looked so easy! It's insane how great that was. :jaw:

I hope the rivalry/relationship betwen Yuzuru and Shoma is and stays friendly for the next season. They both did so great here and deserve their medals.

Do not worry people, i'm on it concerning the french version + the quick interview at the end with Monfort and Candeloro.

And yeah wiht the B.ESP version, we can clearly hear the voice of Annick Dumont, lol how is it possible ? Her voice was so loud that all commentators listened it.

she was just so hype  that was good to hear honestly it's a change from all season along Eurosport ( Nathalie I'm talking about you here...)

You know what this means? I can finally watch his SP again without feeling miserable about it. I can just enjoy how amazing everything except that combo was!

Yuzu and Mai, the king and queen of comeback free skates of Worlds 2017.

Yes Florent Amodio seems to be much better at commenting than Nathalie on Eurosport. Somehow I'm very happy he commented today and not her :)

I just watched Yuzu's performance! I had chills, I was cheering! He killed the combo of doom!!! I wanted him to win so bad! I believed he could and he just went and grabbed it! HE DID IT!

:hap57: :hap57: :hap57: :hap57: :hap57: :hap57: :hap57: :hap57:

I'm a little late :sad21: and speechless  :hap57: :clapper:
Thank you Yuzu for shut my mind about you being stubborn with the combo that was frightening and amazing.
This program was so ethereal.

Thank you to everyone that share links of video and pictures :hap10:

That is lovely... also hehe didn't have to worry yuzu :)

I do wonder - does that mean there's still possibility of him saying goodbye after Olympia?
He'd still be so young :(

- and on another note - cause I saw a few people mentik that there's another championship or tournament or something still coming before the end of the season? What's that?

That's a really good interview. His english is always so much better in a low pressure situation, like there where it's a sit down interview at TCC where he is comfortable. At Worlds you can tell he gets flustered with all the people, media, and pressure on him. I like that, if he's skating after the Olys, he'll try harder jumps and harder music!!

The other competition people are talking about is the team trophy that is held at the end of April in Japan, usually every 2 years? Most of the top skaters have to be there iirc.

THe CBC network will show the competition with commentary by Kurt et al., at 3pm eastern time, so in half an hour, so we can hear what they have to say.

His English is so great here! I guess after he's skated it's too much to think and translate himself to English, but given a calmer atmosphere he's so improved! I also loved to hear his thoughts. Gosh Yuzu please skate for a few more years pleeeeeease!! I need to see what crazy things he'll try after the Olympics

I have recorded the French Eurosport version, if needed. But I can't upload it today, nor tomorrow, sorry :/

From an interview with Stephan Lambiel
http://www.sport-express.ru/figure-...pokazal-nastoyaschiy-spektakl-na-ldu-1237563/

The technique is the most crucial factor now, along with athleticism and stamina - you can't jump quads without them. But the emotional factor and the artistic is just as important - you have to live through every single moment of your program, to feel it. And you have to combine it with executing a whole array of most difficult elements. It's hard work which only a few elect can do - that's why the leading group isn't so big. Only a very talented skater who was lucky to be born hard-working as well can cope with it.

And who do you think combines it best of all.
The result shows it's Yuzuru. He put up a whole theatrical performance on the ice both in his short and in his long programmes. He's such a talent in many aspect, he's a natural: he's incredibly musical, you can't teach that. He steps onto the ice, you look at him and forget about everything - about time, people around you, who's been performing before. It's incredible.

Yayyyy Stephane ^____^ Truth truth!!

Probabily the competition you are speaking about is World Team Trophy. It will be held in Tokyo in three weeks !!!
