This has to be the best phrase from that Mishin interview:

Hanyu reminds me of a panther who has never attended its classes and has no clue what batteman tandu or port de bras are...

Now im on my way from Helsinki. What a competition! I want to share some information and my report. Tomorrow, I will sit before pc all day!

Tomorrow April 4, yuzu will have an interview in japan and it will be aired! Can't wait!

Btw, does anyone has the rink of Japanese commentary? @mcq posted that of.weibo, but the file was deleted when I was trying to watch it... I want do translation if there isn't.
 
BTW, has Yuzu been confirmed for any shows this summer? I want to see him but I also want him to stay in Toronto and train for next year, since it's such an important season...

He would do a few stops for FaOI at the very least, imo, if he is healthy. It is partially his endorsement obligation, I'd think. Hopefully he won't do too much though; I also want him to stay in Toronto mostly for olympic season. Anyway, plushy would be in some stops too so...

I wonder if doing a few shows wouldn't be good for him ? It seems to be the only place where he really has fun and spend some quality time with his skater friends... And he's barely been in Japan for one whole year, he must feel lonely in Toronto.

I'm a bit skeptical about Milan because it's Italy, and I'm familiar with... let's call it the Italian way of life. I'm not entirely convinced everybody will be happy about the way it's going to be organized and run; heck, we already got to see some hints of the rather "relaxed" organization when we asked the people at the booth questions and didn't exactly get clear answers about pretty much anything, lol.

I'm a Yuzu fan, but also completely hooked on Worlds. I enjoyed myself a lot even after the SP, so I'll go regardless of him actually being there or not.
Fact of the matter is, I don't think he'll have a choice. I think the Japanese federation will make him go (Worlds 2018 determines spots for 2019 in Japan, surely? They're not gonna want to have Shoma alone bear the responsibility of getting three spots).

FaOI has a lot of stops. Doing a lot would only strain him before the season starts. Besides 1 stop would probably be 2-3 days and each day there could be 2-leg of shows? He has to learn the opening and closing number too so it is not like he can just come there and skate.
Look at his past-self few seasons before, always injured by WC, burnt out by mid season. He also has this tendency to overtrain, so having actual coach around to supervise his training is necessary in my opinion. The less time he spend in Japan training all by himself, the better his skating and result are, based on this season. Even in 2015 he did not do a lot actually, only FaOI and DOI? It's the olympic season, pretty sure he can spend all the time he wants in Japan after that.

Well yes, the organization is going to be... adventurous :biggrin: I mean, outside of that stand at WC, we didn't even have any signs WC 2018 wasn't completely forgotten!

I don't know, I don't really think that JSF can force him to go... what are they going to do, not give him funding? But he might want to go himself because of the spots, he always feels so responsible for that. So yes, I guess, that makes it more likely he'll go.

I feel like Japanese skaters usually go to the Worlds after Olympics. It's where Yuzuru won his first worlds, and Daisuke too :) And where Mao won two WCs...

I'm pretty sure Yuzu will do FaOI, it's something he never wants to miss. I also hope he'll go as he always has great fun there and it will do him good to do those shows.
Now I have no idea how many shows he'll do but he learned before that doing too many is a very bad idea. I trust the kid to be reasonable on that.

That is true, but 2014 was in Japan, so I think it's still a little different ^^ but then again, I think Yuzu has seen once more how much Europe :love::love::love: him, so maybe he wants to show us Europeans some love too? :luv17:

Yeah, he's competing with that idiot who wrote that piece in El Pais. Because he was interviewed by a quality Russian business paper - a sort of our Financial times. :)
I don't know who wins. It might be Mishin, because he knows better. But Russian fans are having fun now.
