You've inspired me to translate the
German Eurosport commentary for Shoma's FS by Sigi Heinrich and Hendrik Schamberger.
Here we go:

S(igi): Shoma Uno, he hasn't joined the 300 club yet either. He'd have to surpass his former achievements as well.

S: A small Japanese as a big tango artist, Shoma Uno. And the quad fascination continues, dear audience. 120 points for technical elements, quad loop, quad flip, quad toeloop (on its own and) in combination and what satisfies the desires of the heart even more: everything was there - a great program brought onto the ice wonderfully.
H(endrik): He even gave away points with the fall on the Lutz and still achieved 120. Welcome to the club. He's going to join the 300 range next.
S: And Japan is setting the rhythm in men's figure skating right now. When we saw him for the first time a few years ago, we had a hunch that he'd become/grow up to be one to reckon with, but the pace with which this happens nowadays is what amazes all of us. You'd think it's still going to take a couple of years. (But) nope, it's happening at a moment's notice, not overnight, but from one day to the day after tomorrow. The boldness and the carefreeness - the carefreness, which at least seems to be present outwardly with Shoma Uno - is of course intensly fascinating as well.

S: And with a mistake. The direction in which this is headed is impalpable indeed.
But everyone knows what's going to happen next year in Pyeongchang, dear spectators, at the Olympic Games you're going to be able to witness this development live and exclusively on Eurosport. All the guys know that the writing is on the wall. None of the aces is going to bring a meagre (little) quad jump [he used a minimization here "Sprünglein" - idk how to translate this]. Nope, the whole range [of quad jumps] has to be brought to the table.

No, not you. We're bowing to you, dears! That's the way to look at it.
19 years old, Shoma Uno. And now the ranking is going to be stirred up/whirled around. Hanyu stays ahead, Uno in 2nd. 214 points, my goodness, he has never achieved 200 points in a FS and which PCS does he need? ... 94 and he had 104,86 points in the SP. Insane! 319 points.
H: Now we have the situation, that the first two skaters are in a score-range, which Fernandez has never reached so far. Incredible pressure.
S: If he [Javi] ever had to overcome an extremely difficult situation, then it's the case here in Helsinki. Now that Hanyu and little Uno are ahead with 321 and 319 points. Uno almost even beat Hanyu. Just imagine that.
By the way, I'd be a very happy camper, if someone could translate any noteworthy bits of the FujiTV commentary. *puppyeyes*

Idk about his long, I just assume they won't use it for another season. I love LOCO now and I'm going to miss it, but I want to see something new in the Olympic season. We just discussed this in another thread, but I also believe it's kind of lazy to repeatedly use the same program. And I think the judges like different things too!
These boys are riling each other up so much with the quad attempts - it's scary. Also, the first time I've watched his Worlds exhibition (yes, I'm lagging behind 
) and I'm blown away. His flight over the ice is almost unreal here. 
Guess, his SS are among the very best of the field indeed (maybe even 2nd to Patrick's).
I love them all to bits. But Yuzu and Shoma are just dreamy. If I had more time, I'd hang out in this topic more, but I have like a gazillion hobbies outside of watching figure skating, and there's that pesky thing called work and real life, so... :-( But I can do some translations now, yay for extended vacation.
