Yuzuru Hanyu: 2016-17 Season

Indeed, SEIMEI had a great impact and it was amazing (tends to be a warhorse itself because of Yuzu ) but I just hope he will choose something with more powerfull than H&L (although I, for once, liked it a lot, it's so Yuzu like). I think Yuzu would do a great tango if he would choose to. His gaze is made for a tango!!! He would do a great everything IMO!!!
I love Shoma's tango too!!!

I realllyyyy don't know if a tango or a latin thing would suit Yuzuru but it might be fun to see. Lord knows he could observe the hell out of Javi to get a feel for how that kind of thing can look since that's more Javi's thing.

I think Seimei and H&L really proved that Yuzuru can find a lot of strength in look at his own culture and drawing on Japanese culture, history, music, styles of movement etc. He's good at classical, he can carry a warhorse and do dramatic performances, but really special things happen when he's using music and ideas from his home country. Though i don't know if it would be so well recieved in an olympic year... I still really like the idea of the taiko drums from a few (hundred?) pages back. At least somehing with the drums as a center piece and other intruments just accompanying.

Well, sue me, I'm a sucker for a good tango :dev2:, but on the other hand there is so much beautiful music in the world and I'm sure he and his team will make a great choice for his next season. It's Oly season and he really wants his second Oly title.

These two particular choices of music are part of what make Yuzuru unique for me. There's something magic that happens when he skates on japanese music.

Funny enough, I think Yuzu would be way better at doing a tango than Javi. I like Jaivs SP too, but I don't think he'd get me sold on a tango...

(He also had black hair then...hmm I wonder if travelling with Yuzuru has caused some stress- I know that long plane journeys always make me feel drained for a week)

There is this short definition I found: person who treats or sets fractures, broken or dislocated bones, or the like, especially one who is not a regular physician or surgeon; healer.

I went to one and it was both an amazing and scary experience at the same time. After ten minutes I felt that I had a new body because my spine was just completely relocated.

For me, I'm so in love with Hope & Legacy so H&L>Seimei. Especially after reading that beautiful interview of Shae-Lynn explaining the meaning behind.

But I do think that for the Olympics season, it is wise to choose something that is easy to appeal at first glance like Seimei, that do not require the audience to understand the deep meaning behind (but of course, it's good to be personal and meaningful).

I hink it was supposed to be more a flamenco than a tango to be fair?? I dont know a whole to about dance though but his sp amused me because it was so aggressively spanish with all the clapping and stuff.

I went to one as a young teen when my shoulders constantly felt loose. He did simple heat therapy and told me to exercise more because this kind of thing meant I hadn't enough muscle. Hehe. So I went swimming more and got better. The therapy may have been nothing, but the advice was good.

Idk about other skaters but I am sure bonesetting is popular amongst other athletes and in other sports as well.

I don't wanna be doom-and-gloomy but it's pretty clear to me that the European judges will favor Shoma next season (although the jury is still out on Russia). His style suits them more I think.

And I want a movie-score for his FS! His skating is big enough to handle it
I love Piano music, so I want piano music for the SP

It depends on his programs for next season and on what Shoma will be doing. And big for piano music. I am dreaming about new Chopin-like SP :luv17:.

For me, H&L >>> Seimei
For next season, I believe in yuzu whatever the choice of the music, as long as he delivers it very well.. He could win

Seimei was easier to connect with for general public because he was a character in it. H&L is completely different in this sense. If you don't know its background H&L may seem too abstract, with no interesting story behind. I like both but in different ways.

While yuzuru's intense switched-on eyes would indeed be very appropriate for a tango, no more tangos Team Japan please! I mean Japanese nationals was... and did everyone forget Keiji did one too?

I confess I had a dream that yuzuru did Turandot for olympics for symbolism reasons (it was not a good dream )

I like Turandot music very much, but Shoma already did it and many other skaters, so, sadly, not.

"Aggressively spanish" is such an awesome description and yes, Javis SP is a Flamenco and not a Tango at all. As I said, I quite like it and he does well with it, but because it's so different from a Tango, I wouldn't deduce from it that Javi could sell a Tango (to me, I mean). I hope that was clearer
