^^^I'm still howling about the reindeer thing. I'm sure Jason was picturing Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, as were many of us!

Finns are so cold, we even have a 'Pizza Rudolph' that we eat around Christmas time

So with Rohene at Hamilton tonight (from his IG), are we back to thinking that could be one of Jason's programs? My gut feeling is that they're all there.

Could be one of his programs. I don't blame them for jumping at the opportunity to see Hamilton. I've heard it insanely hard to get tickets.

They probably planned it months ago, to come to NY after Worlds. Hamilton tickets are very hard to get, you usually have to order them at least 6 months in advance and they are expensive, even almost $200 for balcony seats (where other shows run $50-$100 for those seats).

Jason and Rohene also went to the Ice Theatre of NY performance at Rockefeller Center yesterday during lunchtime. That was the one that Elladj Balde was performing at. Too bad I don't work in midtown, otherwise I would've gone. I also considered going to the Brian Orser fundraiser thing for a hot second but at $250/ticket, it was a bit steep.

Looks like the person (michlmint) with the account also went to fundraiser.

Elladj did his MJ exhibition? That's worth a trip to Midtown:biggrin:

So funny, I saw the original of the Jason, Kori and Rohene meeting the Cast member photo on Instagram. (Public, I am no one's friend, at least on IG ;). ) The person who took it wrote something like Jason meets Javi, life is good.

I stared at it for seconds, that sure didn't look like Javi, and I know Jason and Javi must have met before this....

Evidently, the new lead in Hamilton is someone named Javier Munoz. Oh well

A belated Congrats to Jason for helping to secure 3 spots for US.

I am looking forward to seeing Jason's programs again at WTT! He is a fan favorite in Japan.

ETA: His commentary is also cool because in his opinion Jason is basically the exact opposite of Weir's "choreographed artist"

Johnny and Tara were both very appreciative of his skating this time around! 🤗

I hope he attempts 4T in both programs at WTT. No time like the present, and if I recall they only take the highest men's scores for each team into account. Nathan will undoubtedly score more highly than Jason even with errors, so Jason can afford to take the risk. He's so close! Johnny said his attempt was very careful and that he didn't get his usual height into it. So if he goes for it without the worry of three Olympic spots... fingers crossed! 😊

Each of these team events seems to have a different scoring system (Why be consistent?) so I checked the announcement. Each skater is scored for their short program (1st phase) and free skate (2nd phase).

Teams are awarded 12 to 1 team point(s) for Men and Ladies and respectively 12 to 7 team points for Pairs and Ice Dance in the 1st phase and the 2nd phase.

I think Jason should go for the quads too! The scoring is pretty generous at WTT and if Jason hits, he'll score big. He will also benefit by skating in the second group for the SP as the start order is determined by the world standing placement.

The starting order in the Short Program or Short Dance segment will be the reverse order of the ISU World Standing placements.

I think Jason should go for the quads as well. Especially considering that the team scoring is based on placement points and not program scores.

OK people....

We all agree :agree: WTT is Jason's kind of comp, and less pressure. He should go for quads in both programs, land them, and every other skater can come to the KnC and congratulate him:hap10:

Let's form a prayer circle and make this happen.:ghug:

I noticed that when he got up after the 4T fall, he had a little smile on his face. My fantasy: he was just really happy to be out there trying the quad again. 🤗

^^^I think he did have almost a "cheeky" little grin as if to say, "Oh well, I tried!" To be under such pressure and yet still keep his composure is so admirable!

Also, at the very end of his SP in the K & C, did he tear up ever so slightly, or was it my imagination?
Just after he hugged Rohene. About 6:25 or so... brought a tear to my eye just to see his emotion... how much it meant to him...

Not your imagination - there are definitely tears in his eyes after both programmes in the k&c. Hits me in the feels, too :)
