If he raise his BV he will take quite a time to stablize his new programs though

Plus add that since Boston momentum was gone from him, that is why they underscored him, with this win he got it. I believe it was the most important of all his wins, he needed this gold medal as an oxigen, for his self confidence.

This time, at WC it was NOT Yuzuru whom they want. Simple as that. But he forced them otherwise. The more they do not want him, the more they HAVE to give it to him. And frankly he has had enough reputation now, they can score him quite low and score other higher, but they will not hold him down to the 2nd tier level. He is still considered 1st tier.

We shall see how they will react next season. ;)

I wonder why? Because he wasn't consistent this season? But who was then? Shoma doesn't have clean skates everytime.

This year he was "giving reasons"because has hasn't skated cleanish for a long time, also he lost 2 wcs and was placed out of top 3 after sp , add skating order of LP and here we go.
My point is he will take quite a time to stablize his new programs again so I am not sure if he can be consistent in his performances next season. Maybe near Olympic he will gain somewhat consistency though, certainly he has a plan for that.

The point is judges and the skating world expect from him higher than from other guys. What other guys only need to do 6-7, he has to do 10.

Yes there are rules. But don't bother learning them, because they aren't actually applied. It's a little game we call "judging".

If that is the case, I feel a bit sad for this sport.. All sports must be fair.. Nothing to be proud of anymore if there are no fair play in the sport..

Yes because he was not consistent and Boston was a huge hit for his reputation (I am sad to say it) . I believe they wanted Javier and Javier not Shoma( that much) , they gave Shoma those scores for 2 reasons : 1. They wanted him to be for sure above Boyang. 2. in case Javi skated clean they would skyrocket his scores even more than Shoma and they believed Javi could make it with 3 quads.

100% agree, this win was of vital importance. For him personally and for judges also.

Yeah, this win does help that they will not write him off for the next season. Just it is not a walk in the park for him, still many other times he has to prove.

I think we'll see it at WTT if judges attitude's changed. I am eager to see a clean LGS and the scores they'll dare to give.

He still got silver in Boston and was injured. It is kind of injust, but I understand that this how the things are in this sport. Still it makes me very sad :(.
What I don't get is why Javi? At GPF and Europeans he didn't have spectacular skates.

This is the way it should be. It seems that everyone is on equal footing at the start of the season. No clear favorites for the Olympics. It's good because clear favorites have that extra pressure on them. Since Yuzu now feels like he's just in the mix and the judges think so too, he can have the challengers mindset which I think is best for his performance. I would not want the judges giving him overly generous scores any more than I would want them to give it to any other skater.

Javi's the saviour of once great European male skating. So anytime there's a considerable number of European judges, the scales will be in his favour. And guess what, European judges make the majority at most competitions.
He's proudly holding the title of the most overscored skater currently.

He is European so judges will be always kinder to him(most panel is European and they try to save this sport by having European star) I admire Kostner but look at her scores for decades, Mao should have poured her blood and sweat to get result, Caro was super inconsistent but all she needed to skate clean once, and they would throw all GOE and PCS. Even now her technical content is non existent but her PCS are like 15 pts more usually than TES. Yuna was another case, she was super consistent so they had to give her scores, she never gave reason .

If skated last more benefit for a skater to get huge +GOE.. I hope yuzu would be the last skater ..especially in the major events like worlds and Olympic.. If he is really ON, the judges can't hold him down..

Yes, he is European, how could I have forgotten.

:laugh2: but he also still did some growing, wouldn't the pants maybe be too short now?

He still could wear his White Legend costume last summer. But we don't know if they changed the pants.
