If skated last more benefit for a skater to get huge +GOE.. I hope yuzu would be the last skater ..especially in the major events like worlds and Olympic.. If he is really ON, the judges can't hold him down..

Skating last surely benefits when it comes to GOE and PCS, but it is still hard to do well as the last skater (Javi also admitted that skating last distracted him a lot at Worlds). But Yuzu usually does well as last also as 5th when there are six skaters in the group.

the sad thing is, Yuzu knew he has been held down, like what he said at WTT prescon that he want to train hard so he can improve his GOE and PCS. Yuzu is smart tho, I'm pretty sure he know what the best he can do for the next season

Yikes, no. I don't want what happened to Javier at Worlds to happen to Hanyu. :/ Perhaps he's been doing fine skating last so far, but if the first 5 to go all start approaching WR scores... I am not so sure.

Is he going to add new quad for next season? (4Lz? I didn't see him practicing that jump ) is there a possibilities that yuzu do 4F? His 3F is so good and what I see he did it immediately in his free skate.. It looks easy for him..

I think he likes to be challenged. And will not be scared by other skater's scores.

TBH, I don't think we're ever going to hear anything else from him. He could get 100 PCS and +3 on everything, and at the end of the day he would still tell you that he needs to practice more.

I don't want it too.. But what I see so far Yuzu is good in handling the pressure as the last skater, isn't he? And he's good at making a comeback

Or he would say something like: "I got 100 PCS and +3 on everything which means the program is too easy for me. Lazy me! I need to increase difficulty ASAP!" I love this guy :luv17:

Was just browsing through the list of people that Kurt Browning is following on twitter and he's following...Hanyu's Pooh?

Kurt knows what's up

idk about 4Lutz coz his respon so far only ' :) ' everytime the reporter ask about it, 4F seem more unlikely tho, coz Yuzu hate inside edge jump

yeahh I think so too, but I'm not even surpries if he indeed rise his half eyebrow in disbelieve when he saw the protocol :p like the rest of us

:laugh2: That is so Yuzu. He always say he need more practice when he already perfect in other people eyes.. I think if he skate cleanly his programs in the early season, he would change his layout to be more difficult

He's more like to jump a 4Lz, he really dislikes the flip because he lipped and frequently got edge calls for his jump (not anymore though :) ) I don't think he will ever jump a 4F tbh.

 it reminds me about the interview he did after GF 2015 Men SP.. He breaks his previous WR and he said he need to practice more, he only got level 3 for his StSq :laugh2:

This is the way it should be. It seems that everyone is on equal footing at the start of the season. No clear favorites for the Olympics. It's good because clear favorites have that extra pressure on them. Since Yuzu now feels like he's just in the mix and the judges think so too, he can have the challengers mindset which I think is best for his performance. I would not want the judges giving him overly generous scores any more than I would want them to give it to any other skater.

Neither would I want that, nor I would say Meoima, or most others here I guess. The discussion is still coming from his WC GOEs and the feeling a lot of people have that his GOE were too low compared to others. If you don't think so, that is fine, but please don't imply some of us would want Yuzu to be favored or held up or others held down. I think we all want what we think it fair judging (even if we have our disagreements as to what would be fair judging partly too).

Didn't he mention 4F at some press conference this season? At GPF maybe? Probably my memory fails me...
But we are likely to see the 4A before the 4F

you know, if what Max said is true that Yuzu usualy throw 4lz in the end of run through at TCC , just imagine if Yuzu had extra energy and doing that at Worlds, the Arena may explode and the Yuzu ending pose would looked more badass

What a way to forced the judges throwing high marks :p

Sorry if it seemed like I was implying that, I only speak for myself. This sport is so unpredictable and thousands of factors come into play that affect the scores given. If a judge is human, and not a machine, he/she will have bias and scores given by a human judging panel are rarely 100% fair. It's good that scores are questioned from 'outside' for the good of the sport in the future. But such changes are always slow in coming. So all Yuzu can do is skate his best (which we all know he does each time). It does make a fan feel powerless, except to scream into the void. http://screamintothevoid.com/
But since he said he could feel the fan's support at Worlds, and that helped him get out of his depression, cheering really loud works too. -Not that powerless after all. :ghug:
