Is there any way to let the commentators all over the world know it's not only Japanese fans who give standing ovations to Yuzu?

I know right?! They're also not the only ones traveling to see him! This bothered me, considering I travelled a couple thousand miles to Helsinki and it wasn't easy (I had a lot of issues with my passport lol). Us non-Japanese fans would love to get a bit of credit

I think this is why many japanese are surprised to learn that Yuzu has many fans outside Japan, they rarely report on non-japanese doing the impossible to see him haha.

I think alongside the 'Judges, learn to read the rule book' banner we need to also have one that says 'Commentators, I'm NOT Japanese and I'm a Yuzuru Hanyu fan. FFS!'

Doubt it. People sitting in an arena in Finland = Finnish crowd. Person waving Japanese flag = Japanese person. Simple commentator logic.

Is someone actually gonna make that "Solo quad requires preceding steps" banner?!:laugh2::rofl:

Maybe non-Japanese fans should hold a flag of their country up but stick Yuzuru's face on it?
Oh please don't mess with commentator heads too much :laugh2: half the time they can't even remember his name right! If they start assigning him to 23 different countries because we confuse them with banners.....

Oh, I collect the way they mangle his name, so let them... Their chances of remembering where those flags come from are even lower...

Yep, that's why the song is called Notte Stellata and not The Swan :P
And i don't know... Baby Yuzu is such a nerd, maybe he did some research as to what he was skating to :)

I guess he would because he had consulted Nomura Mansai about the music and performance before the season started,so do some research on Notte Stellata is quite likely what he would do ;D

Hi
I have been a lurker here for a very long time, this is my lucky go to place for checking on Yuzu's results, I always get good news here, it's a great group of positive people. I am from Tunisia in North Africa, I discovered yuzuru's by chance while changing tv channels while France 2 was broadcasting the men's LP during the 2014 world championships. I had lost interest in figure skating for a very long time but I instantly fell under the spell of yuzu's sublime presence and since then I'm a huge fan. I have been a bit depressed lately and yuzuru's win is actually the first time I felt that happy in months so it gave me a lot of motivation, for that I am grateful to yuzuru and will keep praying for him, actuallt I prayed very hard for him this time and I had a dream that he won with 219 in the LP but then the SP happened and I thouh my dream was a false premonition hh but afterwards yuzu did even better than what I dreamed :yahoo:

My banner will definitely let him know i come from Mexico :P

"Mexico loves you, too" if I remember correctly?

Sooo I am officially as deep in this Yuzu thing as it gets. I have downloaded photoshop again- I used to make gifs back in the day but I haven't been inspired enough (read: obsessed) to make any gifs for the past 5 years or so. Here I come.

I would just always go with Count Yuzunari Hamyulla from Planet Space Kitten, you just can't go wrong with that.

Welcome and post often!!
I am very happy to hear that he had such a positive impact on your life

It would be nice to make a banner of something related to your country + Yuzuru in it in competition. Something like "Yuzuru Fangroup from Mexico" or Hungary, Egypt, Brazil, Singapore, Australia etc.

Do it for Yuzuru (not for the commentators, couldn't care less about them to be honest :p), I think he would be delighted to know that there are fans from all over the world (especially from a non-skating country/tropical country) supporting him and cheering for him (especially when your country barely have skating rinks lol). He is aware that he has many fans from all over the place but maybe he is not so aware that many of them actually come to see him in competition too, who knows
