Yuzuru Hanyu: 2016-17 Season

People are still depressed after Boston + his injury; and there is barely any news about him until June/July. There is barely anything to talk about aside of frustration and worry over his condition, tbh.

I don't know if he lost fans but it seems to me that this thread post count now is larger than it was before and after boston. This thread seems to be moving faster than ever. The reason why despite the huge post turnout Yuzuru's fanfest often features lower might be because the number of fanfests is growing as well and so there are more chances somebody else is being talked about as well.

I am sure true fans will never abandon him. But after Boston there weren't much news to talk about. I started lurking here at that time, so I remember that some days this thread didn't move at all. But since this season started it is almost impossible to catch up And more then 4000 pages speak for themselves.

Well.. I don't know if he lose fans after Boston because I'm a new fans after NHK 2016 so he doesn't need to worry , he has many fans who stay and come.

You see me reassured I'm happy he's still getting new fans and it also seems like the fan activity around figure skating is getting more and more intense as the Olympics are nearing. The Francetv commentators said they were happy that several thousands people were watching the worlds on youtube or on the mobile app (since figure skating is not popular enough to be shown on tv, except dance)

Lol I think I'm taller than Yuzu. It amazed me and my sister how strong yet tiny the skaters are. Anna P. looks so tall on the ice, like a model, but when I walked by her I saw she is a small girl. Ivett Toth also. We felt like oafs from the giant kingdom compared to them.

Meh, our official TV offered some very, very bland commentary on Hanyu's skating. I'm glad I tried the Eurosport guys as well; they didn't disappoint and were fanboying full force. Too bad I couldn't record it. "We've never - never - ever seen anything like that!" was one of my favorite summaries of Hope and Legacy.

Some uneducated people here in this forum bashed Yulia because she critized their favourites to have little (almost none) transitions and too many crossovers. Calling Yulia liar or something. But at least she sees through and counts all what the skaters do on the ice. While the nay-sayers COULD NOT even have enough knowledge to count.

I read somewhere that Yuzuru never dances at the banquets. Maybe it's because he's very tired after competitions. Are there any more videos of him dancing?

A coach from TCC (Sonia and Javier (Raya) main coach I think? Not sure if he still is). He helps many of Brian's skaters (like Cha, Yuzu) when Orser is busy handling other students or is not around in CC (attending GPs etc). If you watch open practice videos, you would notice Yuzuru actually consult with Ghislain a lot.

I feel like dancing Yuzu must be the "secret Yuzu." Because he's so good at it, and natural and fun, it seems like he must be dancing a lot even if we never see it.
