TAT: Let’s just watch

TAT: 3-3 with hands above !

TAT: Ah, such a good girl! (Well done!) A standing ovation! You know it was in one breath. It’s unbelievable to the goose bumps.
Without any worries, so unlaboured (light), so technically skilled, so interesting. Thanks to Eteri Tutberidge, Sergei Dudakov and of course to Ilusha Averbukh who comes up with all this. She’s absolutely different from anyone who skates here.
The most important thing is… well I was willing to nitpick something….but you can see now that she has difficult entries to every element, crystal clean StSq , absolutely all elements are clean, 3 turn, twizzle..
Here she’s going for a flip, right? Flip is with tano and 3 toe loop with both hands above! Moreover she even got higher on toe loop than on flip jump.

Grishin: And it’s the second jump in combination!

TAT: Everything is so musically inclined, all the elements are in the second half of the program

TAT : Her loop (rittberger) is very good and from a highly difficult transitions

TAT: Well she doesn’t have the highest BV, right?

Grishin: Not in her SP, no

TAT: Just so you all know this and because she doesn’t have the most difficult jump - Lutz here. Lutz- toe loop or lutz – rittberger and second jump flip are evaluated higher.

Grishin: Evgenia Medvedeva is finally smiling. Even without the highest BV she’s getting… (interrupted by TAT)

TAT: You know I was amazed yesterday that all our girls went to the second practice in very cold ice ring…
Grishin: The practice ice is colder here definitelly.

TAT: Yes, colder and they all went to practice because it’s their work.

Scores appeared!

Grishin: My congratulations! 79 points for the second time in her carreer!

TAT: 79.1! She previously had 79.21

Grishin: Yes, it was her world record.

TAT: Yes, it was world record.

TAT: I congratulate everyone! And especially Zhenya!

I saw the pic at vk and half of the posts are mean... maybe she likes something and act on it so why is have to be PR?

I know but who knows. In any case, I think it's more that some people aren't used to seeing others travel with a mask. It's perfectly common in Japan, China and heck even increasing in the West. Some folks just look for anything to jump on.

Personally I wear masks on planes too (although mine isn't as pretty as Zhenya's). Air on board in too dry for me and later I have issues with my airways and somehow mask helps me with it. Not to mention planes are full of people with cold so it's natural for sportsmen to protect themselves before important events :D

TAT: (4:45) Thank you, Zhenya! Thanks! Under such difficult circumstances, after Anna’s disastrous skate! She’s not made of steel. She hears everything and no matter how hard she tries to abstract herself from everything outside, she still sees everything that happens. And she skated like this! She defended herself and her name! She stood up for her flag (homeland)! Just phenomenal, isn’t it? From where does this girl get so much strength? Kind of strength you find in Russian ladies – terrific strength of spirit! I thank all her coaches – a tough and real coach Eteri, Sereja Dudakov who works with skaters day and night – for this national pride and real treasure!

Grishin: Yes, she is definitely a national treasure!
You can’t even imagine what was going on during her skate! We both cried our hearts out.

TAT: I’m crying. Not because I haven’t cried for a while but because I understand how she must have been feeling while coming to the ice after her friend vanished like that… (struggle with words)

Grishin: Yes, she just disappeared

TAT: Yes, she disappeared and we don’t even know her final standings.

Zhenya's determination to work even harder and more accurate to be ahead of everyone is not in vain.

She’s such a cheerful girl, willing to skate better than anyone, to jump better than anyone! Think wise about next year!

TAT: God, these young girls with yellow manicure and golden nails! Good job! She brings happiness to people. Do you understand? It takes huge talent to make people happy.

Grishin: You can never overestimate this talent. You can’t even absorb the full meaning of it.

TAT: Thousand people become happy because of one person. We all are now happy that we saw this (her skate).
