Yeah the vowels made it easier (I studied Spanish first). You know, I couldn't roll my Rs for the life of me when I first started to learn Spanish. I would do a sort of growl to compensate . But eventually I got it. rr is a part of the alphabet after all. But the Japanese R's came pretty easy to me. Not sure if the years of anime exposure helped that or what. It's funny the different things language learners struggle with.

Ohh this is very interesting. I didn't realize this before, everyday we learn something new. Thanks for the clip!

Aah thanks sally for the translations I really enjoyed the LP commentary too. It's hilarious how the male commentator was such a fan of Yuzu and said such amazing things, but at the same time the tone of the commentary is completely calm (or at least it sounds like it to me, not knowing the language ). I loved when he said it didn't matter whether or not you like his style, there is simply no point of contention how technically, artistically dominant that performance was Any idea who the male commentator is, his name?

The language itself is more emotional, but it's kind of an unwritten rule here to stay calmer when commentating such a sophisticated sport like figure skating. But I can hear in his voice that's a total fan And he said these things only about Yuzuru, the other skaters got a lot of criticism from him .
His name is András Rosnik, he is a former ice dancer and now he works as a coach in Hungary.

How is the Hungarian figure skating scene? I like Ivett Tóth and was able to congratulate her in Helsinki! I also have nice memories of watching her coach Júlia Sebestyén compete. But I don't know beyond them.

That's nice. I couldn't meet Ivett but met Julia between the SP and LP and wished her luck.
There are some talented girls in novice and juniors but it is very hard to get to the international senior level, stay there and develop every season. It happens to one or two skaters in a decade or 15 years. Julia skated at 4 Olympic Games (!), in Sochi we had zero skaters, so it's very nice that the country has one spot in Korea (if no injury happens *knock knock* it will be Ivett of course). In the other disciplines the situation is not so rosy though, fs is considered here as a feminine sport, after all.

His name is pronounced LH HHH (L=Low tone H=high tone)? Idk if it's correct but I think it is Oo
It's nothing ​to be praised in my case, all vowels except u are the same in Japanese and Spanish the Japanese r gave me some trouble but not anymore

Sometimes the in Yuzuru sounds something between and [ü]. I heard some tv presenters saying so and also Yuzu himself during one of the PJ interviews when Pooh was talking to him laugh and said Yuzu (I can't search for the video now but I think it was maybe GPF 2016). But in other times it sounds an , maybe it is because of the different dialects?

So it wasn't only me...I wasn't sure about the type of jump though . Yes, we want to see the quad!
