This sport was much more fun when I didn't know **** about scoring :sarcasm:
Lol, sad but true. I met with 2 friends at the weekend who sometimes watch a few FS videos with me, and showed them the top 8 men SPs. I got a lot of
But for the positive part about that, my non-FS fan friends reeeeaaaally loved Yuzu (and except for Mika, they went really non-PC on the others
). It started off with them commenting after around 10 seconds that he looks like he was "floating on the ice" and "completely weightless". One raved on and on about how great his jumps are because they are "scarily high" and "he looks like a whirlwind in the air - the others look kind of sluggish in the air by comparison". After watching all 8 SPs, they said they liked Yuzu best because he was "the only on who had one continuous program and performance, no breaks, while others basically had a 'jumping part', a 'break in between', 'a performance part'." Which led to the discussion of "yes, he basically even performs his jumps" - "so does that make him the best jumper or the best performer?"...*short silence*..."both?" Me: "yes, yes, thank you very much, I take that
"They saw Nathan before him and flat out said Yuzu makes him look like a 'juvenile'. I couldn't help but to poke and said "some FS fans like to think non fans couldn't notice a quality difference between the 2 at all" - cue them looking like Ashley at the Olympics. My deepest apologies to my little Spiderbaby who was up next after Yuzu, because the only thing they managed to say about Boyang was "I think he tries, but that order is so unfortunate". Mental note to self: a.) always show Yuzu last; b.) my friends are ruthless :roll9:
PS: Yes, they did notice the PPoS. They also loved Pooh.

they basically asked who did well in the LP and I said "Yuzu, Shoma, Boyang" - so they said "okay, then let's just watch Yuzu". If it makes that better, they watched it twice though
(and the amount of 'aaawwwww!!' during the KnC made me really happy too
)
