Those may be 4lo 4S 3F 4S3T 4T 3A2T 4T-lo-3T 4T,is he going to upgrade all his triple jumps into quad jumps except triple Axel? It's even insane thinking about it.

There are 3 4Ts in there, so he can't do that. He might add a 3Lz (or a 4Lz...)

He can't do a layout like this. Skaters can only repeat 2 triple or quad (or one triple and one quad like Yuzu) in FS. If skater wants to repeat a jump, at last one needs to be in combo. 3rd 4T would be invalid. So if Yuzu really thought about 6th quad today it needed to be 4Lz

Edit: I forgot that if he would do 6th quad he would not do solo 3A so he could do second 4S

But does that mean he could still do 2 more 4S? (One planned, one YOLO).

He could have done another 4S or a 4Lz because the 4Lo was already done as a solo. So it would have been

4Lo, 1S, 3F // 4S-3T, 4T, 3A-2T, 4T-Lo-3S, 4S (or 4Lz)

or for a 6 quad program, definitely the 4Lz

Why would be a third 4S allowed? I thought if it's an attempted jump then it counts as a jumping element, and he can't attempt it two more times (three times in the whole program).
I don't get it, please help :)

He didn't do the 'first' 4S though, it doesn't matter what should have been. The jump he did do was a 1S and that definitely counts as a jump pass (that got him a whopping 0.31 points) but in terms of Zayak, it was still a 1S so doing a 4S-3T and a solo 4S later would have been fine.
Now if he had actually rotated the quad but fell on it, then he couldn't have done a yolo 4S due to Zayak.

Pop doesn't count as quad, he did 1S there , not a quad, so he could still go and do 2x4S in 2nd half

Did anyone try and figure out a potential six quad layout? I am super curious. He said he was thinking about it after the popped Sal, and the spin is right after it. So what would have disappeared?

4Lo, 1S, 4Lz // 4S-3T, 4T, 3A-2T, 4T-1Lo-3S, 3A

maybe? I don't think he would have gone for the 4 in the 2nd half. Choreo would have suffered there for sure, so maybe that.

He didn't execute the quad but attempted it, I thought not the end result counts (1S) but the intention/attempt. Even if the end result was a singled salchow, the attempt was a quad... Ah. Do you know if is it regulated in one of the communications too, or only in the tech handbook? I will check the rules later.

No, it's the end result. Same as if you triple your Salchow even though you attempted a quad, meaning you did too many Salchows, you still get Zayak'd. Happened to Javi :p

No, it's the end result that you need to look at.
Just think of the short program, people lose massive points all the time because they popped. Senior men have to do a triple or a quad, but they pop into a double and invalid jump. It doesn't matter they attempted the right thing, it's what they produced that puts them in hot water. Or not. But more often it does.

ETA Or yes, Narcissa's example. That was brutal.

At the end of the day, is not what you attempt to do, but what you actually do what counts ;)

When he says he was going for 6 quads after the popped 4S, I think he probably counted the popped 4S too in there, as in attempting 6 quads, so he'd keep the 3F and probably try to do the 4S (or 4Lz?) at the end as he has done in practice before. So, yes, 4 quads in the second half. I'm having trouble processing this but I'm glad he ended up going for a (popped lol omg) 3A instead.
