But then he also says "While I must get more quads or add something creative to combo, aside them, I would love to focus on GOE and the perfection of program..."
So I am a little confused with this interview. That would mean he wants to cut a 3A to go for a 5-quad layout w/o the Lz? That would make little sense.
Actually it makes sense considering his talk about cutting the 3A and one day putting the 4A in competition. Technically he can still keep one 3A and do a 5 quad program.
4Lo, 4S, 3F // 4S-3T, 4T, 3A-2T, 4T-Lo-3S, 3Lz or 4Lo, 4S, 3F // 4Lo-3T, 4T, 3A-2T, 4T-Lo-3S, 3Lz
I just don't think that's wise or profitable.
He is hitting all the bullet points for his GOEs, he's not getting them because they don't want to give it to him, not because his skating is suddenly faulty. If this is the result of the SP, I'll seriously curse LGC because guh. With the new skaters now having more variety of quads, things like his 3F will continue to get depressed GOEs.
On the other hand, he could be just playing a game with the media and getting them off his back, while he keeps his plans a secret, which would also be a very Yuzuru thing to do! So I guess we wait.
ETA LOL yes, basically what Marin said.
