He looks really energetic  that EX by team Japan was a bit weird lol but they all looked cute :luv17:.

Thanks Yatagarasu for sharing Gladious translation and also thanks to Gladious for the translation.
Looking to this translation it definitely doesn't sound like he is not going to try 4Lz, it sounded different in the other translation. Anyway as I said before I trust him and their team. I do feel we'll see another quad at the second half.
EDIT: I just realized this interview is not the same we were discussing earlier, still as other users said before I think he is being cautious with the media.

"In the actual run, I popped the first half salchow, so while I was doing my spin, I wondered if I should do six quads… but I would feel guilty/apologetic if I were to force through it like this and ruin the completeness of the program as a result, so for the time being I decided to go for another 3A instead."

I'm amazed while spinning, he was thinking about it  oh yuzu, you will be the death of me :drama:

btw i'm streaming live now, i just heard it's Kanako last skate??? omg...she gona retired? my japanese is a bit rusty, can someone confirm this?

With Kanako retiring, that makes Yuzu the only original member from Sochi 2014, everyone else retired (I'm not counting Chris since he was with his sister then). :sad21::sad4:

yeah i thought i misheard it because my japanese is rusty. but she does. you are right - machida, mao, dai, akiko and now kanako :sad21:

But he is the youngest, so there is still hope then. Too much R-word lately and he himself mentioned it [emoji22]

OMG. How on earth can you think at anything while doing such spin??? :drama:Spacekitten Yuzu!!!

Oh wait so I heard right?
Why is Yuzu the awkward middle child gaaah
I'm starting to feel really depressed. I think I'm going to cry an ocean when the last Swan ends...

There is no reason to be depressed :ghug:

I'm feeling very positive that he'll stick around post PC with everything he's said. He's had a great season, and seems quite happy with everything in the end. We've had more wonderful programs and more are coming.
Smile Hydro, smile, all is good

Yeah... We need a break from all this talk. I already had a micro breakdown earlier during Kanako's performance.

If you hear of a freak flash flood somewhere in northern Mexico... You know why 😢 I'm not ready to say goodbye to my Swan Prince...
(And I really hope he stays at least another season. I'd like to see him more than once...)

and what make it really sad is both yuzu and kanako won junior world in 2010. they are the same age. it feels like the end of an era with the latest mao and kanako retirement.

but we still have yuzu to carry the legacy and help to push the japanese juniors forward :console: :ghug:

He is motivated still to try new things like new jumps and combos and this is something that does make sense only if you stay as competitive skater. I really, really hope he stays, just because of his immense love of skating. He has achieved so much already that he can allow himself now to skate the way he wants.

Yeah, he said he's having a blast at training these days, he really doesn't sound as someone who wants to stop competition:)

cute comparison/highlights of the EX
also, I love that yuzu is so special, being the middle child, all the firsts he gave us etc. and he is still so young.
though, I have no idea why sometimes people make it seems like yuzu is old already and how some people keep saying shoma is 17. how!? :laugh2:

Lol guys how EXTRA were Yuzu and Shoma this competition? My favorite moment was when the lady was putting the wreath on Shoma and Yuzu instinctively reaches out to help/adjust it, like a proud dad. I have a feeling they were doing it on purpose a bit to give a big **** you to the media who was trying to capitalize on their "rivalry"

Also, I'm a little down because I thought he was a little bit more unsure about retiring than he came off in that most recent interview. Before it felt like he would surely stay at least a few more seasons, and now :ohwell: it seems 50-50 at best. :sad4:

Ugh sorry to spoil the mood, but I hear that /some/ ppl are whining abt how Yuzu has encore but not Shoma (I agree with this part) and the issue about who is the ace (THIS I am fed up with, stop the bitterness)

Agree...

Basically i dont want to say about judging, but still i feel some sense of anger with his scores of Worlds.
Does anyone give me an adequate explanation why he cannot get GOE? It seems the judges have the agreement that if Javi get clean jump, they must give goe3. why does he get 3GOE easily even to his single 4t, 3a? What's the difference with yuzu? It was apparant that they tried to make him win. I know Javi is only top competitor in Europe togethe with non-asian skater and judges must give him scores to keep figure skating internaional sport. but the way they did is too much. Such a way really make me hate this sport...
Anyway, yuzu's concern is always towards himself. He is always responsible for himself and never complain about the factors outside him. Even the most people senior to him cannot have the attitude like this.

i agree with you about the judging

i love javi, but *sigh*

i'm sure yuzu knows what's going on but being the gracious person he is, he only blames himself and never blames other factors. this is another reason why i love yuzu so much

Marin Honda is doing RJ2!

omg no the music is making me even more emotional...
