Actually, you know, after his Worlds free, before the scores came up, I screamed "World record—do it!" to give the judges a little encouragement. And then a Japanese woman in front of me shouted "world record" too. But I guess we were being silly, since there's no such thing... Tell that to the tv commentators. I think we were having fun though!

That WR topic is so beeping ridiculous it makes me want to do kickboxing again. I guess I'll play for now

I remember someone told me the scores of this season have been adjusted and that she's sure even if Yuzuru went clean his LP he wouldn't get a WR. She said because judges deliberately gave Yuzuru lower scores this season as they wanted to slow him down. Guess what, she's wrong. He was underscored at WC and still broke WR with a botched SP. 
She's over Yuzuru now and has jumped on the guys who have higher BV than him.
I am just saying it here because it's funny. She doesn't want to believe she's wrong.

Like some of you I feel frustrated after reading things in the forum, but then I channel my frustration and try and spread the beautifully made H&L video further. Retweet it, reblog it, like it, comment on it, rewatch it - I guess we should do all we can to generate positive energy for Yuzuru! Don't let what people say diminish his achievements, or the hard work of our fellow fans

Yeah, I screamed "world record" when he got the score (because it was my duty to make sure the public was informed of what. just. happened) and now it's been viewed a good 7,000 times. Oopsie me for spreading that misinformation! #AlternativeFacts!

When watching on TV you can see the tech score all the time on your screen and even before the program finished it was pretty evident that it would be a WR. I remember myself shouting and repeating like crazy "it is going to be a WR!" before the scores came out.

it seem Yuzu more confident with his 4A than 4lz, so I'll prepare my self if one day 4A will shown earlier than the latter

Seriously, the record part was such a non-issue and absolutely not the point of the video. :disagree:

I understand, and I also feel bad that she got dragged in the middle of this. Very bad timing, not her fault, and I hope she will rather take the time she needs to feel better instead of dealing with the **** that goes on around here. But the discussion itself is still legitimate, and bickering over the phrase "world record" is ridiculous, and joking about it the only way to deal with the silliness of it. And something similar might just happen again, because some people make it their life's work to pour truck loads of negativity and snark onto ever single tiny aspect, just because they enjoy it to make other people feel bad. As long as a few chosen ones are allowed to continue in this vein, it's just gonna happen again, and someone's gonna get caught in the crossfire again.

So sad I didn't realize it's a new world record at the very first coz I'm such a new fan of him that I didn't pay much attention to the scores and I kept wiping the tears on my face lol.And then when I saw someone saying it's a new world record in the chatting room,I got so regretful for being so blunt and stupid,how can I not acknowledge it in the first time!!![emoji174]

I expect one of the admins to say things like: Hanyu's fans are shameful and they don't know how to end while in reality it's the others bashing the name of the thread.
And totally ignore that we didn't start the whole argument about World Records first.
And next time anyone of us might get banned.

Don't worry! The record will be broken soon enough; it's your enjoyment of the performance that matters and lasts. :agree:
I think there's a quote from Yuzuru about that—how a legacy consists more of great performances than high scores. One of you must have it handy
