They just repeated しょう like this 昌昌.
Funfact: I don't know who decides the 'international' version of skaters names, but Shoma is incorrect. In the first post mikaboo please come back and edit the first post with new info! writes Shōma, which is correct, you could also use Shouma. It's a long O、しょう opposed to a short O, like in しょ. ショウ is the chinese reading, the on-yomi of the kanji 昌.
So it really should be Shoubae/Shōbae, or ShouShou/ShōShō. But I'm too lazy to be correct and someone up there decided that Shōma is Shoma...ok.

Good to know, but I like to think of him as the Little General because of his commanding presence on the ice. Perhaps you would prefer REAR Admiral which would be the rank of 少将 in the navy.

ShoSho and the military are not a match made in heaven, at least for me, haha. REAR or FRONT, Shoma has nothing to worry about....:dev2: Let's use the thigh gifs once more, just because we can. Piyo, Piyo!

When he lands that 4Lutz in public, you'll probably feel the palpitations and nervous sweating among the male figure skaters across the world. I'm impatiently awaiting these pictures and videos from Faoi in Kobe! It's almost unbelievably astounding how nothing is leaking out. The audience is so obedient. Boo.
I also wasn't able to say that I'm from the Philippines. We have all of two skating rinks in the country and no winter, so figure skating isn't popular. But we do have Michael Christian Martinez, and based on Twitter, it seems Shoma has a number of fans from my country, too.

I'm new, but have been a fan of shoma since his skating thoroughly captivated me...now 21/2yrs ago! but I'll be quiet for awhile until I have a skating comment to make!! (...I am always quite quiet)
PS i wanted to add, that the genius of shoma is that he captivated me who did not like skating until i saw his!

Welcome! There really are people here from all over the globe. I added your country to the list. You should be very proud of Michael. It is incredible to me that he was able to stay motivated as he learned his skating basics, considering the limited skating resources and facilities in the Philippines! Very admirable. I have seen him skate live at several competitions and always enjoy him.
As far as Shoma-kun and his 4Lz. I'd like to see him do a textbook perfect 3Lz before he even thinks about the quad. The lutz is a tricky animal, and I worry about him injuring himself.
