Well, I doubt it would have been planned at age 19, in my humble opinion an unplanned pregnancy are not really great news. But I guess this is not the place to discuss this sort of thing.
 
I don't think this has been posted yet. As per Plushenko, Adelina will take part in Russian test-skates. Her programs are choreographed by Emmanuel Sandhu. He is also not eliminating the possibility, that Sotnikova will continue until 2022 games.

Call this a blind hope of mine, if you may, but I do hope she is serious about her skating and pulls it off. :)

I can't see her being strong enough technically to get past Russian Nationals ever again. She is a tremendous show skater and artist, but her countrywomen accrue so many points on the jumps that it's hard to imagine Adelina beating them, given her inconsistency.

I actually think , they will basicly keep the programs from last season. Maybe they will just change little things there , but the concept will stay , and music also. I think they already lost lots of time by the injury treatment and there are just 2 months left to September test skate , so I think they dont have so much time anymore to make completly new programs.

It's actually her second apartment in Moscow given her for free. No problem with this one,presented by private company. It's rather the first apartment she got back in 2014 from Department of Housing policy of Moscow,or for "taxpayer money", which is a matter of controversy.

I think if she wants to continue, she has the potential to come back strongly: she is a very similar skater to the two canadians, arguagbly one of the most artistic skater in Russia.

But how's her shape? Is Plushenko good enough as a coach to guide her to the Beijing Olympics?

Pluschenko should be good in teaching jumps. And that's what she needs - the rest is already there. Hope to see her at the test skates.

I would love to see Adelina moving on for five more years. She is an incredibly gifted skater and I always felt that Olympic gold medal came too early and might have prevented her from winning more titles. She has great artistry and great jumps – actually I can imagine her doing a 3A. However, if she continues, I hope she does it really dedicated. What I don’t want to see is yet another skater announcing he / she will stick around till the next games and then skating only 1 or 2 competitions during that Olympic cycle and only really coming back for the Olympic season. :noshake:

But if Adelina really wants to go for it – I’d be happy to see her in the eligible circuit for a few more years. :cheer:

May be Zhulin meant the power in her jumps? Yes, her 3T-3T was enormous. At the same time, Pluschenko can surely work on her lutz edge but, what is even more important, on her consistency in hitting triples.

Plush did say at the initial press conference after they announced their collaboration that he thought her jump technique needed to be reworked.

"The technique needs to be changed, because in my opinion, it can be done better."
