Eun-Soo Lim

Just to let you know that I have updated the Original Post.

One of the things I have done is to add in a Competitive History table. However, I couldn't find a lot of competitions to put into it.

Before last season, I could only find results from Nationals (apart from 2013–14, when there was also the Asian Open).

So, if anybody knows of any other competitions that can be put in, please let us know.

Thank you

Great GS article about Eunsoo! Hi folks - I'm somewhat of a newbie here, but I can't wait to watch the competition in Austria this week!

I'm actually living in South Korea, and I'm really interested in getting a feel for the Korean skating culture here. Does anyone happen to know where there might be a good English-language resource about Korean local and national competitions? (Sorry if this isn't the right place for such a question)

Hi there! The annual 'State of S Korean figure skating' threads have wonderful translators that keep us updated from time to time. Aside from that, it's been rather difficult getting domestic news in English. Hopefully that changes with upcoming stars like Eunsoo ^^

In general, Albina (@albina_fs) is my go-to blogger for official info but she writes in Korean. Google translate is pretty terrible at the language but you might be able to decipher some of their outputs. For a more fan-based medium, you can try the figure skating DC Inside (dcgall) forums. Fair warning though, it's not always a pleasant place for neutral skating viewers as it's generally dominated by hardcore Yuna fans (and things can get a bit...negative?) Personally, I prefer twitter.

Tumblr has a few fan blogs for Korean skaters in English but they're mostly pictures and videos:

Sorry this is not a more helpful post. Hope someone else has more to add!

I think Golden Skate is the best place, like begin mentioned in State of S. Korean Figure Skating thread most of informations about skaters and competitions are keep being updated. Also in skaters' Fan threads, plus there's also Korea Youngsters thread, for younger skaters and competitions for them. You for sure can find some stuff on Twitter and Tumblr, if you will search by names of skaters, you will always find something. One more way to find informations are Korean news sites in English like Yonhap and Chosun Ilbo.

Are you kidding?? This is incredibly helpful! Thank you so much!! :agree:

I definitely prefer Twitter for many of the same reasons (though I'll check out all of the options you suggested) - I suppose this is even more motivation for me to keep up my Korean studies! :D I'll let you know if I find any other sorts of forums...

Thanks again!

Thanks!! Yeah, I'm still fumbling my way through the English Korean news sites, but I'll see what I can find. Sounds like Golden Skate is the place to be - so I'll definitely be haunting the "State of S. Korean FS" thread for the time being. Cheers!

SHE.
WAS.
CLEAN.
Omg guys! [emoji24] [emoji7] [emoji31] [emoji1] She did it and kept her cool. Not that fond of her SP score but the LP event still looms before us so I'll wait. Keep it together, Eunsoo!

Also if anyone wants my opinion about her costume, I prefer the older dress. I don't like the nude mesh midriff.

Fantastic skate and totally underscored for 4th place JWs finisher. :frown:

Kick butts in FS, Eunsoo! :ddevil:

It reminds me of these ugly Yuna's 2007 Grand Prix costumes, thank God she got better ones for Worlds. I hope she will decide to go back to dress because it's ugly and not for her age.
