This is interesting. I wish Stasya all the best. She is like a hurricane when she is on. But if she bombs in Minsk she won't keep the second spot. However, if she is successful it is going to be crowded in the waiting room for Italy: Gulyakova, Fedichkina, Panenkova, and Samodurova. I assume that the Fed gives Kostornaya just one spot.
Well, Alena also can be replaced according to results of Panenkova, Fedichkina or Samodurova. And also if will be a situation where each girl won gold medal, then they will send (to Italy) that who earned higher scores. So many options!

Am I the only one who isn't happy about the changes?
Ladies' field in Minsk doesn't seem to be as competitive as the one in Poland. Alena would have to face in Belarus just Rino Takino and Tessa Hong while in Poland she will have to face Eunsoo, Starr, Moa and Aurora Cotop. I believe Trusova would have pretty big chance to win in Poland but I doubt Alena will take golden medal there.

Alena is not listed as substitude in Minsk unfortunatelly.
As MsLiinaLii noticed, Alena can compete only in Poland and Italy. And hey, don't forget about Stanislava in Belarus.
Well, the first mystery girl will very likely be whoever wins this current JGP, so probably Panenkova.
The second spot at the last JGP event may be kept for any other winner, e.g. if Samodurova beats Tarakanova, or if Kostornaya wins her event.
Will Konstantinova keep her second JGP even if she is beaten by Trusova? One can argue that second place Konstantinova would be in the same position as second place Guliakova (or second place Feditchkina, if she ends up second on this current JGP), so if they don't get second spot, why would Konstantinova have one?

Are you suggesting that Panenkova will finish second?:shocked: Poor girl, I am not sure if Tutberidze would be happy with such appalling result. To break the winning streak would be unforgivable! :scard8:
Maybe they think Konstantinova is more inconsistent than Kostornaya (while we don't know much of her, she is a Tutberidze skater)
If Alena skates two performances at this level, she can fight for the gold medal.

Fedichkina....
At first I didn't believe it was really her!!! She looks so different! But she skated amazingly well and the choreography was sublime. It fit the music and everything. I am so upset that she doesn't have the highest pcs. Her scores were too low. Did fedichkina and gubanova go to a different skating school than the other Russian girls?? They are both so artistic .

It'd not be her fault, she just doesn't have content to win against clean 3A Kihira.

But if seriously, I will feel very sorry for Dasha if she will lose. She deserves better, and will be really sad to lose her just because she faced with the strongest foreign skater. It could hurt her psychologically, like, "every girl from your group took gold and you didn't". It's not about medals, it's about her feelings.
