That was so beautiful! Really gorgeous olympic program. And that dress!!! This is her first competition this season. Unbelievable!
 
I think this is the best program from the ladies so far: every movement is purposeful with the music!
she speeds up with the music, slows down with the music, and changes her positions just as the music changes. HOOOOOOOWWWW?????????? :drama:
musicality or magic ?
 
Medvedeva's progression in speed and skating skills over the years is undeniable, she always finds ways she can improve every year. Well done :yes:
 
I always read people's comments on her good speed when she was a junior but I never knew how they could see that. Now it all makes sense. She is such a fast and light skater. She also uses her upper body so well. Also, does the term cross over not exist in Evgenia's world? Lol. This program is full of beautiful transitions! Congrats!

Medvedeva had good stroking as a junior but edges weren't deep, her speed was not that good too till her seniors progression. She improved this alot, she's fast and light now as if you watch her floating on ice.
 
Her skating skills are impressive as usual but I find her program quite boring.
Maybe the music, maybe the choreography, there's nothing wrong in there unlike those in the last year, but still don't like it.

She had ok speed when she was 12-13. Then by 14-15 years old she started including a lot of transitions and backloading, that's why her speed during that time reduced. Now she has grown her skating skills so she is not to slow like people complained before. She is quite light on the ice. However I don't think she can be super fast across the ice like other ladies with more power. It's understandable.
 
i was thinking that eteri will send her minions to slovakia as usual. but it turned out that now she's traveling with zhenya even for challenger competitions
 
I agree she's not very fast but not slow neither, she skates with good pace and to the music. She has great control over her edges now and I think that thing she improved the most are her SS. She doesn't have a lot of power but I really like how light her skating is.

I liked the short today but I'm much more intrested in FS, since the programs announcement and even more after test skates, so I can't wait for tommorow. Hopefully camera work will improve :pray:
 
Her dress is so gorgeous! And I really love her SP this season. Looking forward to the FS today.
