I'm watching it again and again, and this is like V/M's SD last year, a gem. Choreography, little details hitting the lyrics, and so on. That song has a meaning on them too. Thank you Mister Christopher Dean!

It is better, they are right on the music and with polishing it should hit all the right notes. The lift should be reviewed though, she doesn't hold the position long enough to be as impactful as their previous lifts. Or maybe she could hit another position because from the judges' point of view is not as great as from the audience.

Watching all those SDs, I'm trying to get a sense what differentiate teams in the pattern but I have hard time to understand what I should be looking for. I watched those instructional videos but this pattern is difficult for me. I can't pinpoint why some teams fail at it and why some are nailing it. Can someone dumb it down for me ? At the feet level what should I be looking for ? It doesn't help they have to skate it for such a short time IMO, I don't have time to make up my mind it's over. One full rink tour would be much better to compare teams.
Well, watching them is cleansing for the soul no matter what happens! And better a fall now than at later competitions, haha...fingers crossed anyway to make sure I don't jinx them!

. The opening is soooo captivating that the reprise feels a little lackluster in comparison... I wonder what they can do to make them match better.Protocols: http://www.figureskatingresults.fi/results/1718/CSFIN2017/CSFIN2017_IceDance_FD_Scores.pdf
The diagonal stsq on level 2 with negative GOE was the Achilles' heel of their FD, unfortunately. The circular stsq also got level 3.
They lost at least 6.25 points there (compared to a well executed L3), if not 7.75-8 points (since they were able to get L4 at the French Masters). So realistically speaking, without that fall, the program would've scored in the 116-118 range, which is terrific for a first outing outside a national competition and slightly better than Tessa&Scott in SkateCanada (115.8).
