Accidentally found this. I shouldn't be giggling but i still did. He did a clumsy fall and i love how he smiled after getting up and brush off the ice

This was hilarious. It was during the FS warm up, I think. All of a sudden he just stumbled and fell. He was so cute when he was laughing. Everyone else was laughing too.
 
Congrats Shoma on winning SC and your first GP! With a 300+ score at that, continuing your streak! Also, for being the most well dressed guy at this competition (and probably the season, let's be honest). Blurandot is my favorite costume of the men without a single doubt and he looks fantastic on it.
 
Although Shoma states that he lacks stamina, I really don't think so. I just rewatched the program, and I am getting more and more confident. Shoma doesn't pop his jumps. So even if he doesn't land them steps out or splats on the ice, he usually gets the points awarded for the jump. This is huge. This can be a game changer. He had the stamina to jump the hard combinations at the end. Of course the first impression is always, oh...he fell...oh that wasn't good. But Shoma can win the Olympics with a skate like that, because his mistakes usually don't destroy the points he gets. Let's see how Javier and Jin do next week, but ShoSho...I think he's dangerous. Extremely.

Kanna, can I ask you to translate what you can hear from Fluffy and Shoma in the KnC? Here is a video without a commentator....

So happy for Shoma right now! :clapper: Wasn't perfect but he did his best and was happy. And it's nice to see that both programs keep evolving. When he nailed the last combos I might have screamed a bit... :slink: And the last spin, perfect! :points: It was wonderful to see him smile during the skate but it also just makes me laugh. Didn't he say that when he smiles he's exhausted? The smile before cantilever was quite big! :laugh:

He is so conditioned in his ways, no need to bow with a hand slap from the audience Shoma.
His poor neck must have hurt after that. lol.

Yes I noticed him singing too. I never noticed him singing before I could be wrong. He had is hand on his heart and was singing his
National Anthem our ShoSho was proud of his win for his country. How sweet!

But of course his detractors would interpret it as Shoma trying to get candy. ;)

I think I have seen him sing before. Don't remember where though. I bet you he's a great singer too since he seems to be pretty good at anything he tries. :)
 
I love Shoma's positive attitude. He doesn't look uncomfortable. Probably helped that SC seemed like a pretty cozy affair this time around. I assume the pressure in Nagoya will be of a different caliber. But it is also his home GP in some way. So hopefully he'll do well. Now let's focus on France.
 
He will have a little rest before his next competition in France. Shoma will need it as he goes up against Javi again.

Yep, happy victory party!!♡ Love his programs changing every time I see. always he's challenging to himself, what a great effort.

I'm dead happy to watch his smiles a lot through this Skate Canada. cried at the victory ceremony..just touched.

Shoma sang the national anthem too. Shaked hands with all. well done!! also love his hair, so natural and formal.

Thanks to the audience living in & landing to Canada, and also supporters watching it on TV, PC, mobile. despite time lag I saw practice times & programs, plus many media interviews in this wknd. yes, exactly couldn't sleep, really real nessun dorma to me lmao.

Congrats to Shoma! :yahoo: :hap93: If that wasn't a deserved victory over the rest of the field (which, to be honest, wasn't the greatest), I don't know what is.

This was the first time I saw this program, at least I think it's not exactly the same as a few years ago? And that costume is gorgeous. This will go over very well in Milan. *not so subtle hint*

You're right it is not the same program, that's what I try to say all the time and no one listens. :eeking: First of all the music is a different version sung by José Carreras. The step sequence is also different. I assume they changed it around to built the program around his higher difficulty and the 5 Quads he has planned to jump (when he needs them).
