Oh my God, I remember going through the same anxiety with the 2016 Rio Olympics. I mean can any gym fan imagine those Olympics without Aliya Mustafina? :noshake:

They were banned because they doped. Most top news organizations say that it is very likely that the Russian team will NOT be banned.

Oh my god. If Zhenya and the Russians get banned, what will I do?? It's not a proper Olympics without the most dominant country. And besides that, the athletes themselves that are new to the Olympics this year didn't do anything! I'd start a petition if it happened but it wouldn't do any good I fear.

Me too. I love Mustafina, Olympics would not be same with her.

Most likely outcome is that Russia will be forced to compete under neutral flag. This is an ultimate humiliation and will not be accepted by Kremlin.

I think this is already taking political overtones. It seems anti-Russian propaganda, and it's too strange.
Tarasova in an interview commented that they had nothing to fear, that they were clean. Evgenia MUST win.
