Good performance by Zagitova overall. Still not a fan of the FS but I really like her SP and hope to see her clean. I also hope that as she becomes more comfortable with the senior level, she's able to gain some more expression.
Zagitova's ballet is far more convincing than Osmond's, however, and it's going to be very interesting to see the two going head to head - Zagitova gets a good chance to make a positive impression in this regard.

The next stop of the cute killer: GP France, and now I can see the shaking knees of some "favorites".:yes:
Really hope Zagi's victory today will give her some +PCs and will be enough to beat Osmond.
It would be really sad if a clean Zagi loses to Osmond with a fall and a few other mistakes.
Also GP Osaka along with GP France will be very interesting.
In Japan: two favorites Evgenia and Carolina against two dark horses Satoko and Polina. I guess they all will be in the top 4.
In France: Maria, Kaetlyn, Alina and Mai. The same here, all these girls should be in the top 4.
I think I'll need to prepare sedative pills...

I wish they’d add posture and line into the pcs criteria. That being said, Alina’s jumps are well timed to the music and the transitions are difficult, and her costume is great. I just think the footwork section is rushed and.....well, ugly. But a lot of people are calling her the second coming of Sasha Cohen. I don’t understand

She’s better than Sasha Cohen because her jumps are like a male ballet dancer and she moves like a ballerina.

Alina's PB is higher than Osmond's. Not to mention Alina's SB is higher than Kaetlyn's including that ridiculous score from ACI. TBH I would be more worried about Mai Mihara. Her TES score is also really high
Agree about Mai. But Osmond has PCS gap. She got almost 72 PCS for the bad skating (so with more or less clean skating it would be only bigger). Alina got only 68.35, sure, basic value gap 57 vs. 66 should prevent that PCS margin, but still... Mai can get the same PCS as Alina or Wakaba so here yeah, any mistake could cost a gold medal.
Btw, just noticed that we lost an another brave warrior, who defended beautiful Russian ladies, and fought with the evil dark forces. We'll miss you, tjb!

Will see in GP France. I feel like Mai's PCS will not increase that much to threaten Alina or Osmond as it seems like she is considered as Japan's No.2, after Wakaba, even though I think she does deserve higher PCS with her skating skills. It will be interesting to see Osmond's PCS outside of Canada, but she's hardly ever clean. I think Alina just needs to be clean and not afraid of anyone who has stronger reputation and she will be on the Olympic podium.

I'm emotional person. So to prevent myself from being rude I've just checked profiles of people who wrote negative comments about Eteri and her student in recent GP series threads recently. I've banned 9 people (80% of their comments in October were about Eteri/Evgenia/Alina/backloading/Tano and so on).Nope. But as I know you have to earn three infractions to be banned.
