Alexander Petrov

No photos from the FS yet. But he's in his old costume so we've seen tons of photos of that.

Short interview with Mishin. I don't think a full translation is need. https://rsport.ria.ru/figure_skating/20171104/1128208670.html
Basically he explains that Sasha has been ill for a long time and that he will compete at Rus Nats. But in what condition will Sasha be competing in, Mishin says he will only reveal it after Rus Nats.

Sasha is quoted in the article too, just one sentence. He said being last in the warm-up group was hard and his preparation/training in the lead-up to the competition was also poor.

Yes, I can see that he's been ill for a long time. Already in the fall of 2016, I could see that he was going to fall ill. But nothing I say or don't say really matters to Sasha. The people closest to Sasha, his family, his coaches, his best friends, they have to be the ones to help him. I hope that they will.

Sasha is rooming with Kolyada at Cup of China (at least I think so).

I imagine their conversion before the banquet went like this...

Sasha: I'm going to wear a white shirt and jeans for the banquet.
Misha: Oh! But I was thinking of doing the same.
Sasha: Err...
Misha: I guess I'll add a jacket so that we don't clash.
Sasha: Good idea! :)

To whoever manages the MishinCamps instagram account,

If you're going to repost a photo from someone else's account without leaving a Repost app watermark or giving any credit in the comments, it would be nice to at least give a "like" on the photo that you took so conveniently. Of course, the really proper thing to do would be to credit the original photographer too but nowadays many people don't care about that anymore (I try my best to give credit in the comments of the photos I post unless I don't know who the original photographer is). But it's not hard to hit the "like" button if you want to reuse the photo. It takes only about 1 second of your time. I'm sure you can spare that right?

I am well aware that the only people to whom Sasha's fanpage has any meaning/significance to, are a small group of his fans. But it does take up a lot of my time and effort. I spend anywhere from 10 minutes to a couple hours on just one post. The videos and collages take especially long because my internet speed is hopelessly slow. I also know that this is not a major issue but after it happens multiple times (by different people), it kind of grates on your nerves, especially when you have a bad sinus infection (sorry for the whining).

I also find it strange that an account by an organization, "Mishincamps", finds it hard to give a small little "like" to a photo taken from their own skater's fanpage. Was it really so hard? But then again, I shouldn't be surprised, since this is also the same account that deliberately cropped Sasha out of a photo before, even though they mentioned him in their comments: https://www.instagram.com/p/BF6ASQvydsU
End of complaint. Bad day.

Sasha hurt his right leg in training today and has been withdrawn from Skate America.
He might skate at Golden Spin IF he recovers in time. At the moment, Russian Nationals is still on the cards... at the moment.

I think that Mishin should withdraw him from Skate America. Don't do anymore competitions until Russian Nationals. This would be the best decision for Sasha. And I hope his coaches will do what is in his best interests and not follow some "formula" or "modus operandi" that they have been so used to over the years.
I hope he doesn't go to Golden Spin either. It makes no sense. Just rest before Nationals.

I want to add this season to the list of things I wish to forget.
Sadly, I happen to have a very good memory.

This season, nay, this year has just been one heartbreak after another, one let down after another.

I on the other hand have a truly appallingly bad memory - but I'm afraid I'll still be able to remember...
