I think Hanyu should take it real slowly now and in no way endanger his ankle for a further injury. There is enough time for him to be in totally perfect fighting condition at the time of the Olympics. It is the Olympics which is important, not competing at the Japanese Nationals although he probably wants to do it and I can understand his reasons for that. Anyway, it´s time for him to be smart and to do what´s best for his health.

but I have to say that it does make things a bit more interesting. I just hope that if we are going to be getting any more surprises that they are not injuries ,illnesses or anything harmful to the skaters
